20 Best Bars in College Station

“New Year's Eve at the Reveille Bar was great, with one exception. Neither of the bartenders working that night knew how to mix drinks. It took my date 45 minutes to get through the line. When she got to the front, the bartenders were having to look up recipes on their phones.

I'd suggest that in the future for similar events you limit drink service at the rooftop bar to beer, wine, and shots only, and tell people wanting mixed drinks to go down to the main bar on the first floor. It would work out better for everyone.

Update: I replied to the email address listed below in the reply from the facility on Jan.15, 2026 and have yet to receive a response...“

“Draconian Lounge is by far my favorite bar on Northgate. Everyone is so nice, and so happy to be there. The vibes at Draconian Lounge are SO GOOD! I definitely recommend going if you have a chance!!!!“

“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.“

“This is my favorite bar on Northgate. I think it's blessed, because every time I go there something good happens. Wake Me Ups, although they're expensive, are worth it. They're basically the original recipe of a Four Loco before Four Loco killed a bunch of kids. Awesome.“

“Best pool hall in BCS hands down. No kitchen that Im aware of, but they didnt bat an eye last time I brought in a pizza. Can get a bit busy on league nights[Thursdays I think] and the weekend, so you wanna get there a little early to get a table with no wait. Staff is fantastic, some of the same friendly faces I recognize from a decade ago. Great pours, fair prices...gotta check out Friday night karaoke!!

Having the great debate which wings are the best.

I will order Hot garlic wing every single time and it will never get old. This is my standard of what wings are.

“Mommy sakes is my single favorite establishment in college station. Ambiance: fantastic. Service: fantastic. Drinks: to do die for. My one recommendation is to be open when google maps says you are open. For example: a guy may come into town and want to relive his glory days by ordering Hiesmans for his friends on a Wednesday. Imagine his dissatisfaction when the doors are locked. Thank you for your consideration and do not skip on this fantastic establishment.“

“We just had the BEST meal and experience at Gate 12 Bar & Grill! We will definitely be going back. We went for our toddler to watch planes which it was perfect for! We saw tons of planes and it was a really cool restaurant. What I didn’t realize was how delicious the food would be. I got the smoked mesquite turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was devine!!!! So much flavor and great combo of ingredients. The jam, turkey, and bacon together was phenomenal. The sweet potato fries came with a type of cinnamon butter dipping sauce that I will be dreaming about. My husband got the BLT with regular fries and my toddler got grilled cheese with fruit. They both loved their meals and the portion sizes are big. My toddler’s meal was a full size meal. The staff was top-notch! Very professional, kind, informative, and attentive. So thoroughly impressed with this restaurant! A new favorite for sure. The experience alone is great, but wow what a great restaurant on its own.“
