“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.“

“This place is great! Atmosphere is wonderful, and I felt very welcomed to be in there. Riley was very knowledgeable and really helped me. Thankfully, she told me that doing the hottest spice level may not be the wisest decision and after explaining what spices were on it, she was saving me from a world of pain. “Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.“

We have two toddlers so we did not have an opportunity to dine-in (this time), but the staff and patrons were all so kind as we navigated ordering our to-go lunch. Wonderful experience! Food was exceptional. We ordered two scoops and the broccoli salad. I especially loved that we had enough crackers packed to eat with our salad—that attention to detail means the world as a to-go customer!“

“The Lord worked through this Mamaka smoothie bowl. Prior to delighting in her smoothie bowl, my lovely wife had been battling food poisoning the past 32 hours. We tried everything. Nothing was staying down and after a day and a half, her appetite was gone. We didn’t know what to do.

In a moment of inspiration (from what I believe to be the Holy Spirit), she asked if I could get her a smoothie bowl from Mamaka. Hopeful at the idea of her regaining her strength, we promptly placed an order for pick up.

I arrived 10 minutes later just as they were placing her bowl in the to go fridge.

Upon arriving home, my wife joyfully ate her Mamaka smoothie bowl. With each bite, I could see peace enter her. 4 hours later and her symptoms are lessening and we hope for a restful nights recovery.

“I’m not typically a big wine guy but this place is genuinely amazing! My fiancé loves wine and loves multiple wines here. Every time we come, we leave with multiple bottles and I even found a few wines that I like even though I’m normally a beer person. Rick (one of the owners) makes sure that everyone is happy and I can see that he has a passion for his wines. It is must visit for the college station/byran area! A true hidden gem!“

It had gotten dirty and gross under previous ownership, but they bought it to renew it and it's now charming and clean again! “Out of towner here! We stayed at a hotel down the street from T Jin. it was 9pm and we were hungry from our busy day. We ordered and the food was amazing!! Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao with Fried Rice and Fried Wontons!! The price was very reasonable and the amount of food you get it really good! We'll definitely be coming back next time! It's also conveniently located right by Kroger! 5 STARS!“

“My family went in on opening day and even though it was busy the food came out fast, servers were friendly, and loved the atmosphere! The burgers are huge and delicious, the Texas Cheese Steak was a little messy (on my part) but great, and the turkey leg that my grandson would not share so we had to sneak a bite is highly recommended!
