“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.“

“This place is great! Atmosphere is wonderful, and I felt very welcomed to be in there. Riley was very knowledgeable and really helped me. Thankfully, she told me that doing the hottest spice level may not be the wisest decision and after explaining what spices were on it, she was saving me from a world of pain. All in all, a superb place to visit and very tasty food. Would and will go again!“

“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.“

“The food is definitely recommend except the Greek fries are extremely heavy on the garlic oil to the point of being pretty much inedible. I love garlic but these are extreme to the point of almost burning your mouth and throat. The gyros are very tasty and the portions are fair for the price. Customer service was very good, had a misunderstanding that had me frustrated but the cashier/server was able to explain everything and make it right. It is very warm inside to the point of almost sweating and it's been that way since they opened.“

What really sets this place apart is the amazing variety of chicken salad options—there are so many unique flavors and choices that it’s easy to find something new to love every time. “While drinking coffee with my sister and having a very heart felt conversation, one of the waiters, Chris, came up and asked us if he could pray for us. Our waitress was so sweet as well. They could see that we needed a little uplifting and they definitely made it happen. Our waitress did not charge us for our coffee. Exceptional service. God sure does work in all sorts of ways and we felt it here this morning. I will let everyone know the amazing service we experienced!“

“I’m not typically a big wine guy but this place is genuinely amazing! My fiancé loves wine and loves multiple wines here. Every time we come, we leave with multiple bottles and I even found a few wines that I like even though I’m normally a beer person. Rick (one of the owners) makes sure that everyone is happy and I can see that he has a passion for his wines. It is must visit for the college station/byran area! A true hidden gem!“

“The quality of the fish, and especially the salmon, is remarkable. I had the Rainbow Roll and the Fantastic Roll. Prices are fair for the most part. The crabmeat paste in the rainbow roll had a slightly unpleasant taste. The Fantastic Roll was put together incredibly well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, this place gets my recommendation.“

“Out of towner here! We stayed at a hotel down the street from T Jin. it was 9pm and we were hungry from our busy day. We ordered and the food was amazing!! Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao with Fried Rice and Fried Wontons!! The price was very reasonable and the amount of food you get it really good! We'll definitely be coming back next time! “My family went in on opening day and even though it was busy the food came out fast, servers were friendly, and loved the atmosphere! The burgers are huge and delicious, the Texas Cheese Steak was a little messy (on my part) but great, and the turkey leg that my grandson would not share so we had to sneak a bite is highly recommended!
