The Old Post Office Bars • $$
102 W Fox St, Caldwell

“We loved the interior and exterior of this place, especially being in an old post office on the square. The menu was maybe too efficient, not much to choose, even their wine menu had more options. The person who served our table was silent, and a bit preoccupied with the people at the bar area which I guess were friendsof hers; also, it took more than 40 minutes for food that was subpar, for example the club sandwich said on the menu it has Texas toast, but instead it was Mrs Bairds thin slice bread. The Queso was terrible, with the chips heavily salted. The burger was okay but again too heavy on the salt for the frys. This really could be an awesome place, but it needs an inviting entrance to really illustrate that it's a restaurant and maybe change up the menu ?Hopefully, this wasn't too much to say ? maybe just a bad night... We'll try again in the future...Live Long and Prosper ??“

“They have a sign saying "Enter as an stranger and leave as a friend", and this is exactly as we felt our first time here a few days ago. I can't put in words how great the experience was. After some time we were feeling like we knew everyone for years. We missed the live music, but will be back to experience some classic rock soon. 1000% recommended!“

“I performed at The Hitching Post and the guest there were fantastic. The bartender was super gracious, she made sure we had all the space we needed and accommodated all of our requests. They had special food that night, chili and all the fixings. I believe they normally serve finger food items. Great little place with great atmosphere.“
