“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.“

“Our family loved our Thanksgiving gathering at the Brazos-Proper Texas Kitchen! The food was the best/outstanding and the dessert bar was fabulous. Everyone was very happy with our decision, and we are hoping that they decide to have a Christmas luncheon this year. If they do, we will be there! I highly recommend, and we plan to attend again next year! Thank you! Service was excellent, and I cannot say enough for the entire experience!“

“Freddy’s Frozen Custard is hands-down one of the best spots I’ve been to in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive—they made the experience effortless and welcoming. The food itself was top-notch: perfectly cooked, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But what really stole the show was the dessert. The frozen custard was rich, creamy, and indulgent without being overwhelming, and every bite was pure satisfaction. I don’t usually write reviews, but Freddy’s deserves it—every part of the experience, from service to food to dessert, was absolutely on point.“

“Got the Texas Smoker Potato and the my ma got the 3 piece Chicken tenders, naked with a side of cream gravy.
The Texas Smoker was hefty and had a good sauce to potato ratio. Even though it looks absolutely drenched, once you fork a bit of brisket, Colby Jack, rib tips, and potato it turns out perfect.
Be careful of the rib tips, they still have small pieces of cartilage running through them as you would expect.
The chicken strips reminded my ma of DQ strips from the early 2000's. She was plenty happy with it for the price.
There's a small patio area to the right of the order window with bench tables. 3 tables that can comfortably fit 3 people on either side.“
