“We were there a couple weeks ago (on a Friday night) with my volleyball team after our game ended at 9pm (we had a group of about 25 people, adults and kids). The servers were amazing, they were able to assign our kids who sat together, with the parents easily and did our separate checks without any hiccups. The kitchen put out our food quickly and it was wonderful.
I know how challenging it can be with a large group, especially asking for separate tickets but they executed it like they do it all the time. This place is my absolute favorite and now I know, they can handle large parties with ease and great service. The servers were great & the kitchen did fantastic.“

“This is one of the BEST restaurants I have eaten at. First, Cori our server is awesome! She is attentive, responsive, knowledgeable, and super friendly! The food is amazing! “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Best Landing Ever — 10/10 Would Fall Again” So there I was, minding my own business, enjoying the in-flight peanuts at 35,000 feet, when gravity decided to spice things up. One wrong step, and boom — I’m free-falling like a majestic bowling ball with commitment issues. No parachute, no plan, just pure aerodynamic panic. As I plummeted through the clouds, I saw my life flash before my eyes — mostly memories of me saying, “It’s fine, I’ve got this.” Spoiler alert: I did not got this. Then fate intervened. Out of all the places on Earth, I crash-landed right through the roof of Houston Hot Chicken like a meteor made of confusion and regret. I didn’t so much land as I reintroduced myself to the concept of gravity. Tables flipped, fries flew, and someone screamed, “Bro just DoorDashed himself!” The employees, absolute legends, didn’t even flinch. One handed me a napkin, another asked, “You want that mild or extra hot?” My spine said mild, but my soul said let’s make it worth it. I left that restaurant smelling like jet fuel and Nashville seasoning, but with a heart full of gratitude and a stomach full of dangerously good chicken. Final verdict: Service — 10/10 (They didn’t call an ambulance until I finished eating.) Atmosphere — explosive. Food — so hot it resurrected me. Would recommend? Only if you enjoy defying physics and good flavor. 🔥🍗 “Houston Hot Chicken — where the food slaps harder than the landing.”“

“We have a great experience every time we dine at Black Walnut in Rice Village. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always helpful and genuinely pleasant. We can honestly say we’ve never had a poor experience at this location. The menu has something for everyone, making it an easy favorite for a casual breakfast, lunch, or dinner.“

“I have really been looking forward to going to this restaurant but after reading December reviews it appears something happened during that month and I think I'll wait to see reviews from January before I decide. I love the ambiance of the place the fact that it's small and cozy and the menu appealed it to me but if the execution, service and availability is not there then what fronted out as an excellent experience leaves a bad taste on the end. I really hope to read that things have turned around since your last reviews. And do bear in mind that I know that people might complain for reasons that have nothing to do with the restaurant however that being said if they took the time to post it on the site I'm going to keep it in my mind until I read differently. Wishing you the best in 2022!“

Chicken & waffles (2 large juicy & crispy) chicken tenders & 1 waffles cut in quarters are comfortable meals. The waffles are soft yet crispy.

“We had brunch today with friends. We had delicious food and great service. Our group ordered the club sandwich, pizza, the Gyro, and the chicken biscuit. Everything was delicious and to top it off our server Nikki was fabulous!“
