“The food is terrific. Here are the best appetizers: fried garlicky cheese, fried mushrooms, boudin balls, onion rings. French fries are ok. For lunch I had the club sandwich. It was good.”

“We found Edge General Store from a Facebook post. It was a 45 minute drive from Shiro, but so worth it. The atmosphere is precious, the food was delicious, and the owner and employee were so friendly. So much history in the building, we loved it. Great gift items as well!We will be back. ?”

The young lady wasn't very attentive and looked to be more important in conversation with the other girl and her phone. The other guy working there or manager had to get my empty cup to give to her to fill because she never would. I would go back for the food, though.”

“My Dad grew up in Hearne and we went up to visit the cemetery and to drive around. He told me the places he wanted to visit and Dad wanted to stop here. Nice quaint place and Molly is the sweetest waitress. The food was great. They offer daily specials but I was day off because I wanted the Wednesday special and it was Thursday. I still got the cheese enchiladas with onions and I really enjoyed them. Dad got to meet the daughter of one of his buddies and meeting her made his day. Thank you for that! Dad is turning 92 this month and it was a great day trip for the both of us.”

“I came from Rosebud to try something new and I got the wings and fish topped off with a kool-aid...I don't know what in the VooDoo they did to that kool-aid but mayne it's ????This has to be the best seasoned food in 80 miles in any direction, hands down??I appreciate this Wings & Thangs”

“The breakfast tacos are a very solid choice. Homemade tortillas and the ingredients taste fresh with thick cut crunchy bacon. Solid option, they gave my dogs free bacon too! I can’t speak on the normal tacos, but the breakfast tacos are a solid choice. 5/5”

“I wanted to share that we made a pit stop here (1/13/24) while traveling and the team leader (Jane?) was amazing. She was so sweet and checked up on us and our kids when we dined in. The team leader and cashier were nice and they delivered the food when it was ready. Wish we had more people like them in the city or suburbs. We would gladly become regular customers if they were near us.”

“The food was delicious. We got the beef fajitas, and they were tender, flavorful, and crispy. The service was great as well. I ordered a beer on draft, and it ran out while they were filling it, so our waitress brought me the half glass (free of charge) and a full bottle while they refilled the draft.”

I assumed the bread may be a little dry and the food sub par! I'm sorry Pappy's, I misjudged you. It was EGGSELENT!!!The croissant was fresh as could be and the ingredients were awesome. We had two bacon, egg and cheese, one ham, egg and cheese, and one steak, egg and cheese. All of us were so happy with our choices!We left Pappy's and Calvert well fed and pleased to discover this Texas gem!!Take away: Try Pappy's on your next road trip. BTW check out the Wildflowers on the way up and back!”

“This repurposed building is a hidden gem in Texas. Country feel using the reclaimed wood from the building to create the coffee bar and many other pieces in the store. This location also has a venue that can be rented for different events. It is very charming. Coffee and cookies were great. Nick and Mikala were great people to meet. Hope my travels take me through there again soon.”

“I was searching for food at the Antique Fair and saw a line in front of Smoke Daddies BBQ food truck. The menu looks tempting so I decided to give it a try!I ordered grilled cheese sandwich with briskets and it was soooo good!! It was so yummy that I totally forgot to take pics until I finished half of the sandwich. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had from food trucks. The stand was really cute too, with a pig face logo :PWill go again in a few days when I return for the show.”

“2 Chicken Tenders, a bacon egg & cheese biscuit, & Lg. Potato Wedge w/ a drink cost us $16.25 when I got to the car I realized how much we were charged so as my husband pumped gas I took the food back in and asked for a refund. I was refused a refund and was told to call back at 8am to talk to the manager. There were 3 other customers in the store who also agreed that it was way over priced, and so did an older lady who was also an employee. Calling to speak with a manager has been a joke.”

But, the service is still good. The food is excellent. I highly recommend this place for travelers, visitors and the nearby community of Franklin,TX.
