Large party for a family celebration. The restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food was tasty and we received the order quickly. Our server did an excellent job. If you haven't already, check it out!

We haven't been here since our 1x visit in 2019 and honestly, we never thought we would return. After reading and seeing how things are different now since reopening coupled with my intense craving for pasta we found ourselves dining in, and omg am I glad we did! We visited for dinner which is traditional table service now which is different from our 2019 experience and very much a huge positive change. We were greeted by a hostess, seated and then promptly greeted by our waitress, Shelly, who was fantastic, especially for all the tables she had. I had 2 different margaritas which I recommend, the Italian and the Pink Cadillac (this was my fav), we ordered bread sticks and the fried ravioli for an appetizer, both were good but the bread sticks were great. The owner stopped by our table prior to us ordering and he was so welcoming and really wanted to make sure we ended up with food for "us" by asking our usual preferences and etc. He explained which items are made from scratch there in house and he made some recommendations. He also stopped by about halfway through our meal to check in as well. I ordered the Chicken Nozze which comes with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce and that simple little side dish of noodles and sauce hooked me lol. I will be back just for that, I loved the sauce, I added some Parmesan and red pepper flakes and it made such a delicious sweet but savory flavor with some kick. My husband had the dinner combo which is a half serving of lasagna and cannelloni. I can't speak to the lasagna personally because I didn't taste it ( what was I thinking?!) but I did try the cannelloni and it was delicious. He loved both and he really liked my dish as well, again, he really liked the side of spaghetti. We did not have any desserts due to our abstinence of sweets in observation for Lent but I most definitely will be coming back for that cheesecake that is recommended ;) I'm also coming back to try the trio seafood pasta. It's important to note that this isn't the type of Italian place where you are spending $45 on one thing of pasta that is full of truffles or etc, this is home cooking Italian, and most everything is made from scratch, and this is not Americanized Italian like the Olive Garden or etc. This is something I'd expect to eat at my Aunt Theresa's house for Sunday dinner. So happy we gave them another chance 5 years later, we love a good comeback story ❤️

This was our first time eating here since they reopened. This is exactly what an Italian place should be. Food was outstanding and the owner was out in the lobby chatting with the customers. We will definitely be adding Fritella into the rotation. Whoever reads this, get the breadsticks, you will not regret it.

The food is great! I've been back twice now and loved everything both times. This is one of few restaurants where I'll happily branch out from my usual orders because there are so many appealing options on their menu.

Loved it. It reminded me of my college days at A&M. Still fantastic taste and a lovely place for dinner.

We had fritella delivered. It was easy to order and came quickly. However, besides the calamari… the food was just bad tonight. Pizza crust, like a burnt tortilla with mushy cheese. The eggplant Parmesan, super salty. The garlic bread, covered in big chunks of uncooked garlic; not mild and roasted. I want my money back.Update: Thank you! We did try to call the restaurant several times and kept getting an old voice mail message saying the restaurant was back open? Weird. The food and service have been great in the past. I will call tomorrow.

I’ve been here twice. Once was 20 years ago and as I found myself traveling through College Station once again. I made a point to roll down Texas Ave on the Bryan side of town. It’s still there! And looks amazing! This used to be a Taco Bell! You wouldn’t believe that looking at it now with such a tasteful remodel and paint it has been transformed into a cozy and elegant trattoria. As happy as I was to find this place still existed, I went in to find out if it was still good.It was better than I remember! Delicious! I ate one Frittella there and then ordered another for the road! (Along with some focaccia bread) if you’ve never had the signature dish, get one at your earliest possible convenience. I just knew this place was going to do well when I first tried it 20 years ago. Back then it was still under construction and you could tell it used to be a Taco Bell but I gave it a shot and ordered the signature dish the frittella and it was amazing. Maybe let it cool for just a bit and as you eat it, squeeze from the bottom as you bite the top! You’ll figure it out. I don’t even live in Texas anymore but I’m coming back to eat here again.

Food was alright. Too pricey for a meal that wasn’t all that good.

This was our first visit. Started out great. Negroni was on point, fried ravioli appetizer was amazing. The entrees (chicken Parmesan and combo platter - lasagna and cannelloni) were delicious. But then our server ghosted us - finally flagged down another server to get our server, who then sent the other server back because he was busy (we could see him in the kitchen). We ordered dessert and asked for our check. Dessert was the reason food doesn’t get 5 stars. The canoli was awful and the “double espresso” the server brought out looked, smelled, and tasted like stale coffee from a pot. We’ll go back for the food but would not recommend dessert.

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner and was not disappointed! The food was excellent and served hot and fresh. The lasagna and cannelloni were excellent and prepared the way they should be. The chicken parmesan was great as well. The hot breadsticks were on point. The calamari was cooked the way it should be. I gave a 3 star for the service because of the initial service when we sat down. The host sat us and it was 7 minutes later before the server came over. Once the server was there, she did an amazing job! I think the break down was a lack of communication between the host and the server and this can be fixed with some training of the staff. The owner/operator came to the table and visited with us and that is greatly appreciated and you just don't see that much anymore. The building was clean and well decorated, really felt like an italian restaurant. Keep up the good job Fritella!!!Dietary restrictions: plenty of menu options and they will work with youParking: easy in and out parking lotKid-friendliness: very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access from the parking lot to the table

Fritella Restaurant in College Station is a culinary gem that never fails to impress. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful array of dishes. The focaccia bread was a perfect start to the meal, boasting a delectable texture and just the right amount of seasoning. The custom-made pasta was a true standout, showcasing the chef's expertise and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pizza was a savory delight, with a perfectly crisp crust and a harmonious blend of flavors. The minestrone soup was a comforting and flavorful addition to the meal, further highlighting the restaurant's commitment to freshness and quality. The tiramisu was presented in a unique and delicious way, and the marinara sauce was truly amazing. The overall dining experience at Fritella was nothing short of exceptional, and I left with a deep appreciation for the culinary mastery and attention to detail that the restaurant consistently delivers. If you're in College Station and craving an unforgettable dining experience, Fritella is an absolute must-visit.
