I got delivery from Imperial for dinner today and I was very satisfied. The fish (salmon) was very fresh and I enjoyed both the nigiri salmon and the College Station Roll. The miso soup was also nice and hot. While I am mainly interested in the Japanese food, I decided to order a side of the plain Lo Mein noodles, and they were also very good. My only criticism is that the sushi rice seemed to have a bit too much vinegar in it. But overall, very good Chinese + Japanese food and definitely worth trying!

*I want to update this review. The owner or manager texted me an apology for the problems in service I experienced and even offered a free meal. The waitress acknowledged that they forgot my eggroll and tried to catch me but I had already driven off. I do think this shows a level of caring for their customers, which surprised me.

I have eaten at Imperial many times and used to enjoy having food delivered before they stopped. The food is usually very good, and perhaps the service is good if you eat in the restaurant. Around 5:00pm today, I went online and ordered Curbside Service. It asked for a description of my car, which I gave. I drove up & parked right in front of a large sign that says Curbside Service. I got out in the rain & found that the door was locked & when I looked inside I saw chairs & stuff stacked up & no lights on! Even though there is a sign on the door saying, Open. So, I had to walk through the rain & move my car to the front door. Then I went inside & picked up my food. When I got home, there were no egg rolls, even though I paid for them! If they don't want to provide curbside service, then they should remove that option from their website and remove the large sign from their side door! I regret leaving a tip for such poor service & no egg rolls and will not return.

I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant near me and this was definitely a hit! They had so many options and everything looked so good. I ended up getting the Lo Mein adding chicken to it and my friend got Shrimp Fried Rice. Both were very delicious I would definitely recommend this place as it has plenty of options and it was super delicious. The service was fast and the staff were kind.

I always love my experience at Imperial! Their food is amazing. It is fresh whenever I go. And their lunch options are amazing, especially at their price point. 10/10 I always recommend!

This was my first time eating here. And it will definitely be the last! This food was gross. The most flavorless Chinese food I have ever eaten. I got the general tsos and mushroom chicken. And both were like they were soaked in water no flavor . Almost no vegetables. And calamari was rubbery and nast w no sauce. And fortune cookies were stale. Such a disappointment.

We had pork egg rolls for an appetizer. They were temperature hot and crispy. I had the hibachi noodles with vegetables. They had a very good flavor. The broccoli was crisp, which I like. My husband had the Kung pao chicken. It was mostly all chicken with no veggies. He liked it, but said it wasn't the best he had had. We would go back for sure.

As a longtime lover of Japanese cuisine, I always find myself searching for places that can capture the true spirit of freshness, balance, and craftsmanship. Last night, I found just that — and perhaps even more.
The evening began with a simple yet exquisite starter: sweet shrimp paired with thin slices of crisp cucumber. The shrimp was tender with a subtle, natural sweetness, while the cucumber added a refreshing, clean crunch — a perfect prelude to what was to come.
The sashimi arrived next, and with just one bite, I knew I had found something special. The salmon was unbelievably fresh, silky, and rich, dissolving effortlessly on the tongue. It's no exaggeration to say this was the best salmon sashimi I’ve had since arriving in Texas. The eel rice was equally memorable — warm, savory, and layered with flavor, each grain soaking up the essence of the tender, buttery eel. The Mongolian beef, with its hearty chew and deeply savory notes, added a bold contrast to the meal, satisfying in a way only truly well-prepared beef can.
Beyond the food, the experience was elevated by the people and the place itself. The owner greeted us with heartfelt warmth, and every server who passed by did so with a smile and genuine attentiveness. The interior was tastefully designed — a space that felt both intimate and stylish, ideal for a quiet date night or a lively evening with friends.
We ended with a scoop of ice cream that was luxuriously creamy and smooth, melting slowly in the mouth, each spoonful a perfect finish. Even the drinks showed thoughtfulness and care.
It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right — the food, the service, the atmosphere. But here, every element worked in harmony. A true hidden gem. 10/10 — a place I will be recommending to everyone who asks where to find the best Japanese food in town.
