I lived in Texas for my whole young adult life and went to Texas A&M. Recently moved to the midwest where Tex-Mex food is nonexistent. Came here my first trip back hoping for some good home food and couldn’t have been more wrong!
Firstly the service was well below par. The margarita I was served was yellow and watery tasting, worst I ever had. The queso looked and tasted as if it was bought at a grocery store, melted velveeta cheese would have been better. The fajitas I ordered were grey and tasted worse than italian beef I could’ve gotten on the side of the road in chicago. The grey meat was one of the worst sights I’ve seen in my life. I have never left a restaurant without eating my food but once the food was served I couldn’t leave this place quicker. I would never subject my family and friends to an experience like this, definitely will not be returning to this restaurant and I would strongly recommend anyone to steer clear.

I love Mexican Food, but this was not a good choice. Strips of flank steak were ok, but was served on plate with refried beans, one chicken enchiladas with a very bland thin red sauce & some grated cheese. Also served with flour tortillas. The best food at our table was the plate with the 2 Chalupas Compuestas. Chips were very good, but Salsa was thin & not very tasty.

My Mom told me about the Caldo de Res and I couldn’t wait to try it. I picked up a large bowl to go and prayed it would have everything as if I were having it in the restaurant. It was delicious and very satisfying. Everything was cooked to perfection and the broth was magnificent. Just like my Abuelas!

The food has no flavor/ seasoning. Very blah. The serving is great. It is so LOUD in the dining room , you can hardly hear or talk to the people at your table.
