Great place! We had never had mead before and am glad we tried it for the first time at Lone Star! There was a large selection of flavors and we enjoyed being able to try them with their flights. Very laid back place and greatly enjoyed having found this hidden gem.

We love Lonestar! Great atmosphere, they have a great meads and the flavors are amazing. They also love to educate about their meads. My daughter loves the lemonades. Especially when they add the strawberry syrup! When Cam is explaining the meads it's like going on an adventure! Also Tim makes awesome cocktails with the meads! Very friendly people! They are also pet friendly! I highly recommend!

Lone Star Meadery, there is so much I can say about this family of folks i have come to know and love. The meadery just went through a massive renovation opening up the previously tight, cozy space into a well designed cozy space. Now featuring an L shaped bar, plenty of seating, amazing local meads made by staff. Tim, Cam, and Buddah 100% make this little hole in the wall feel like it's the only choice to call home and be with friends and family. I recommend it for anyone new to trying non-traditional wines through age-old recipes of honey wine.

An excellent family-run meadery in downtown Bryan. It's a bit tucked away so keep an eye out for it next door to the theater, just off the corner (parking situation good). I have tried mead in several places, mostly in Europe, and I can say with confidence that the various products offered here are excellent, imaginatively flavored and quite unique. With that said, the Traditional recipe is nearly always available and true to the name. If you are new to mead, the staff are more than happy to provide information and suggestions. Everything is made on site so there is a rotating menu of imaginatively crafted options. Ask for smoked mead and mead-related cocktails. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
