Tried this place for the first timeâIâd originally went there to try out their tacos but wasnât really interested in buying a single taco for nearly $6 today. Maybe at another time and during their happy hour where itâs two tacos for $9. The food there is very different from my usual go to, so we tried their basic burger since we werenât feeling like testing the taste buds. It was a good burger, the pickles on it were definitely my favorite partâoverall a very good âbasicâ burger. I would say not to go in for casual eats, but to go in because youâre looking to try something different and new. Only disappointed that it wasnât what I wanted, but excited knowing that itâs something I do want to try again in the future.

Tasty food but both the $12 Burger and "family" size amount of fries was WAYYY too small for the price. Would NOT recommend if you want a good portion of food for your money. Never going again just for that particular reason. I'd rather go to Five Guys for the amount of money I spent there.
The El Jefe is fantastic, I love everything about from the chorizo/beef patty, to the mango pico and cabbage, and the perfectly cooked fried egg. I want another one right now! Great staff too!

This place is a downtown Bryan classic. Such a cool venue in a cozy setting. Delicious custom hamburgers and tacos with super tasty drinks. And don't miss out on the sweet potato fries with Yuppy seasoning. Can't go wrong hanging out at the Proudest Monkey!
I stopped by The Proudest Monkey in Bryan, TX for lunch. I tried a burger recommended by the waitress. Willie Norris burger offers juicy, flavorful ground chuck, sharp cheddar, smoky bacon, and traditional toppings, but the house Monkey Sauceâan aioli and black pepper blendâwas a bit too heavy on the pepper, overpowering the other flavors at times.
The Yuppy Style fries, tossed in olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, and more Monkey Sauce, had great potential but were overwhelmed by too much garlic, making them a bit too intense alongside the rich burger.
Though packed with bold flavors, a lighter touch on the seasoning would have balanced the meal better. Staff was delightful and I would return and try something else from the menu.
Nice food and nice people. The place is cozy and the ambiance is what you expect but donât know you were expecting. Service was fast and the food delicious, totally recommend.
