Taco Crave is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in the Bryan/College Station area. The flavors are always on point. The food is well-seasoned and the sauces are delicious. My favorite meats are the spicy carnitas and brisket. I used to come in so often for nachos that the manager actually added them to the menu, and they’ve become my go-to order ever since! (But to share… it’s a lot of food for only $12!!!!) The staff here is consistently friendly and welcoming. On our last visit, I noticed one of the employees step out from behind the counter to personally deliver food to a guest in a wheelchair. (I asked her name after… I think it was Valentina?) That kind of thoughtful service speaks volumes about the heart behind this restaurant. Honestly, I’m shocked there isn’t a line out the door every day (maybe the only thing missing is a bar—but who knows, maybe someday!). If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with great service, Taco Crave is a must-visit.
I ordered the al pastor burrito and a spicy carnita taco. It was pretty decent, though its taste and texture more closely resembled a slightly less ground chorizo than al pastor. I can see how some would like it, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I will say for the price you get a much heftier burrito than some of those chain joints. The taco was alright too, pretty basic carnitas. I tried the three sauces and green seemed to be the better option, but none really had that good heat. If I come back I’ll probably give the steak or chicken a shot.

I’ve been following the Taco Trail, and Taco Crave was my next stop. I met another business owner there to network and learn about each others services. When walked in, the ladies at the counter greeted me. They took my order right away and made my taco in front of me. Luckily I got there right before the crowd. It’s open seating, and there were enough tables, even though they had so many customers. Food was delicious. I actually ordered a kids meal and couldn’t finish it.

My expectations I guess were too high, because I was sure let down. Service extremely slow (few customers) food was only ok and the beans were cold, only for the waiter to want to microwave them, I told him, no thanks.
