The food was ok. Rice was bland, beans were ok, meat was ok. Only major complain is that I have been sick for a while since eating here.

If your looking for authentic down south Mexican spot this is it. I just moved from San Antonio and it reminded me of home. Great lunch specials, friendly service, and they serve a small queso with the chips!

I ordered the carne asada. At first taste the food was not too fresh and the portions size was not verybig. The flour tortillas were also kind of crusty and had a flaky texture. Despite this, the steak had some flavor and tasted great.

Their menu has pictures and English translation! They have a lot of variety on plate options. The waitress doesn't speak good English, may need a translator.

We went for a late lunch so only one other table was occupied. The first thing two of us noticed was the strong smell of cleaning chemicals. My child felt a headache come on from it. The woman who served our table was warm and attentive. Neither my husband nor I enjoyed the enchiladas. He got beef and I got shredded chicken. The salsa and guac were amazing. However, the main irritation was that they charged $1.55 when my husband asked for jalapenos for his nachos. This was not mentioned as an extra cost and is usually free. They also charged $1.99 extra for his queso on his enchiladas but they at least mentioned that would be an upcharge and we were prepared for it. The special of the day was advertised as $7.99 but our receipt says we were charged $8.23. I ordered nothing extra to increase the price. All in all, the service was warm and the salsa and guac were both fresh and delicious but the entrees were just okay and the were unexpected charges like the jalapenos and the higher price on the special of the day.

This place has quite the long menu, I just ordered my go-to when I visit a Mexican restaurant and this place did it well.

Rude wait staff greasy dinner wear greasy cups soda had a visible grease layer rainbowing the surface. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This place seems like a hidden gem. The food and environment here reminds me of when my family and I went to Terralingua, a town near the border (the closest we've been to Mexico). I had Taqueria El Sol fajitas and an enchilada. The food seemed authentic and it tasted pretty good. The table service was great. Seemed like everyone was at least bilingual. I asked for fresh jalapeño and they brought me a generous serving. I ate nearly all of them ?

Despite lengua being a meat option on the menu, they do not serve it anymore.I got the menudo instead and it was okay. It needed more seasoning, and there was no hominy corn in it...which was a bummer.

We have never eaten here, since we moved we thought what a great opportunity to try it. We were greeted with friendly faces and a warm greeting. The waitress was very friendly and produced our drinks very quickly. The chips and salsa were very good, they brought two different salsas to the table and both tasted very good, one was very flavorful, and chunky the other had heat and was very savory. The food came out quick, hot and fresh. I had the chicken fajita taco on corn tortillas, amazing..The green sauce that came to table durning the food was very spicy and tasted wonderful. We will be returning to this place.

The food was okay. It definitely was not fresh. I had the flauta combo which came with beans and rice (these were good), sour cream, guacamole (was super watery and made me think it came out of the freezer I love guac and I did not eat it), and flautas. The flautas where okay, no flavor and super dry chicken.
