Big Dawg Barbecue… Burgers… Beer

Had the pleasure of serving a wedding last night with Big Dawg BBQ at the beautiful Venue 311 in Plantersville. Dinner was incredible! Definitely recommend!

Had this food truck at an event. Not impressed. Delivery and set-up was distracted and seemed uninformed concerning location. Food temps were not maintained, on hot or cold. Food was...meh. All around disappointing.

My fiance used to work here and they “ let him go” over having a ptsd attack, he is a army veteran and has never been fired for something he can’t control. The food is ok but when they prepare the food I was told they don’t wear gloves. So that place can 🖕🏻 and burn and I wouldn’t care they don’t know who they messed with 😡

Ribs were awesome! Brisket is great too. The q sauce is tangy and sweet my fave

After a Thursday night baseball game for my middle school son, we decided to try Big Dawgs. We’d brought our new puppy with us to the game and needed a pet friendly place for dinner. Not only was Big Dawg’s accommodating, they had a wall of fame for dogs. Misty, our server, was as personable and warm as could be and very attentive to not only my families needs, but our dog’s needs as well. We sat outside on the patio which was shaded and had plenty of yard/tailgate type games to play. And the food was really, really good. I got the burger with chopped pork BBQ on top and the Smokey flavor of the meet and the BBQ sauce was out of this world good. Honestly, we just wanted a place that would accommodate our dog and we ended up having some of the best burgers we’ve ever had. The French fries were amazing - super flavorful with the skin on and perfectly seasoned. I’d highly recommend this place for the food, but if you have a pet, they are also welcomed and well cared for. Five stars.

First time visiting and I ordered take out. Upon walking in I was instantly greeted and able to place my order. I got the Chili Frito Pie and added some pickled jalapeños.
The chili was a 6.5/10. It was missing key seasonings that you expect to taste in chili and the beans weren’t all the way done. Perhaps I got an off batch but I’m willing to visit again due to the service and to try other items on menu. Definitely seems like a nice spot to sit outside on a pretty day and enjoy a drink especially if they can bring those plants outside back to life or replace them with ones that are not dead.

I figured i would to go back and get a bowl of brisket
They refunded not only the cost of my brisket bowl but my homemade banana pudding and the tea! I had a$28 lunch for free!!
That is outstanding customer service!

Came here for the first time to meet a friend over lunch and the food was amazing. I got the BBQ plate with extra mac and cheese and it meat was juicy and flavorful. I espacially like how they give you the BBQ sauce in a bottle so you can add your own amount of sauce. The portion size also met my expectations from the pricing. The environment was not too loud so I could hold a conversation with my friend. Our service regulary checked on us and I did not have to ask to have my water refilled. We also got to meet the owner who personally greeted us to see how well we enjoyed everything. Very friendly and polite. Will be recommending friends here if they are looking for a local BBQ place.

Not like my opinion matters much but this place is the epitome of what’s wrong with BBQ joints in this town. Complete lack of effort. Serving yesterday’s BBQ at Pit Master prices. Maybe I messed up by ordering straight BBQ instead of one of the bowls or sandwiches 🤷‍♂️ but if you gotta use other ingredients to mask the stale taste of the meat then.. I have heard good things about the chilli though, may have to check it out to be fair.

I stopped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The staff here is genuinely friendly, the food is delicious, and the beer is solid. Honestly, that checks all the boxes for me.

I had the blackened blue burger, and it was excellent, just the right amount of blue cheese on a flame-broiled patty. The mac and cheese was very good, and the wings hit that perfect balance between crispy and juicy, with a great touch of smokiness. If I had one suggestion, it’d be to expand the sauce selection. Something bolder or spicier, like a garlic habanero blend that kicks up the heat would take it to the next level. Still, I’d absolutely order them again.

I didn’t dive deep into the beer selection, but they had Yellow Rose IPA, which is always a dependable choice.

One big standout for me was the kids meals. The price was just right, and each kid got a man sized burger, more than they could handle! They also have a little outdoor area with cornhole, Connect 4, and jumbo checkers (though a few pieces were missing).

All in all, great experience. Keep up the good work, I’ll definitely be back to give the bbq a try!
