Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.

Definitely my favorite rotisserie chicken place! The pastor tacos need improvement but everything else is on!
Their grilled chicken is delicious and juicy. The charro beans, rice, and tortillas are all delicious. Their guacamole salsa has nice heat and flavor. The torta is delicious too (I got chicken, but you can choose whatever protein). I've tried almost everything on their menu, and it's all been tasty.

I went to Pollo Rico on Friday night. Made the mistake of ordering Chicken Caldo. They gave me the last of it. The broth had NO vegetables, only scraps of tomato and onion. The piece of corn they added was soggy. I wish they would have told me they didn't have anymore instead of selling me their left over broth. If that's their daily broth, I don't recommend.
I ordered a chicken soup on Friday night because I was tired and didn't want “fast food.” The broth did not have any vegetables, just tomato and onion. The piece of corn that they gave me ????. They would have told me that they no longer had broth instead of selling me the broth. If that is the broth they serve daily...I don't recommend it.

I ordered the 5 taquitos and it was terrible they only gave me a little bit of meat this is the second time I decided to give them a second try and nope a lil bit of meat it was like I was eating tortillas with onions and cilantro no meat y’all need to do better

Inintially, I thought it was a little pricy for a "fast food" place. But the food quality and quantity was better. In the end, it is worth the price. The charro beans were kind of bland. Could have used cilantro.

Place is a legit hidden gem. Staff does not speak much English, good food, good prices. Clean, but very stripped down vibe. The kind of place that work trucks stop at for lunch and they don't know what to do with you when you walk in with your suburban white family. 10/10 cannot speak for other locations.
PS the Burgers are legit. I know you are not supposed to get burgers at a Mexican place but it happened and it's better than the burgers at other places
Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves it. Casual environment. No dedicated kids menu or playground or anything
Food pretty good.... if you make it to get served. The lines are crazy long. Every time I go, I either make it quick enough to get my order with a good time or I'm stuck waiting for 30 min or longer waiting to reach the intercom to order or waiting at the window to pay. The people need to organize a little better and learn to handle a rush. So if you make to get food, really recommend, but have a full tank and ac working, the wait time are long.
