Growler Express is a pleasant surprise. I chose it due to its proximity to my son's house in Manchaca. But I was pleased to learn that it could stand on its own merits. For one thing, its ambience is a cut above other growler bars I've been to. It's more like a bar with great selection of beer, a host of regulars, and inviting interior. Fun little place with a wide selection of Texas brews. Service is excellent, and they know the locals. My favorite nights are Fridays when they have local choices of yummy munchies like gumbo or ceviche or.... It depends on the week.
