Under new management! We used to always get our cookie cakes from Wanda at the Barton Creek Mall location before they closed it and we were so excited to see her here. We’ll be coming here from now on!

Called a few times early afternoon to order a cookie cake. We were told they would set aside one for us to pick up in a few hours. I called back to ask if I needed to pay online or order online or pay beforehand. Lady told me “no she would set aside one” We arrived and were told they didn’t have the cake nor any other cake. Terrible customer service, would not support this business in the future. Birthday ruined.

Excellent service!! I originally ordered my birthday cake from the Barton Creek Mall location. The Barton Creek location presented us the worst cake I have ever seen and we could not buy it. I called the Buda location an hour before closing and told them the situation - they immediately popped a cake in the oven and saved the day! We added the sea shells and pearls ourselves, but the cake was beautiful! I will be driving the extra distance to come to this location, because they care about their customers and quality, unlike the Barton Creek location. Special shoutout to the store manager, she was the one to make this happen!

Poor customer service, lady behind the counter obviously doesn’t want to there she’s honestly probably there for a check, hardly any fresh baked goods and A/C wasn’t working so it’s hot in that place, overpriced ice cream one scoop is $6 so I just went to the corner store to buy a tub for that price. Better off going to the mall location for better customer service

I attend the gym next door to this place and every time I go, I find a women in her car smoking. I've gone to morning and evening classes and she's always in her car smoking. Sometimes she has other women with her, who I'm pretty sure doesn't work there. I feel bad for the kids who have to work with here and put up with that scent and laziness

Terrible service. Don’t even bother ordering ahead for an event. I ordered two large cookie cakes ahead of time for a 3:30pm pick up time. I got here at 4:20pm, expecting to pick them up and leave and they hadn’t even started them yet. Now I’ve waited over 20 minutes for something that should have already been ready. Such negligence and terrible customer service. Go to a different location.

Had such a nice experience here this weekend ! Frosted cookie cakes from great American cookies are my husbands favorite thing ever ! This year I surprised him with one and a surprise party. The ladies here work so hard to make these fun masterpieces and I don't think they get enough credit. I arrived several minutes early before my chosen pick up time to pick up the cake I ordered a few days prior and they asked for 5 minutes. I told them of course and went to get a sandwich as I was so hungry ! Came back a few minutes later to the perfect simply frosted cookie cake ( exactly what my husband wants) and all smiles from the nice ladies there. Got a couple double doozies for the kids at home and everyone loved the cake at the party the next day. Thanks for all you do and keep up the beautiful work !

If I can give zero stars, that’s exactly what I would give. I visited this location today and March 18th and had a horrible experience with a young man by the name of Mark, he originally told me his name was John while speaking with the manager. She said that his name was Mark ( however I asked about baking more cookies because I wanted to buy more. He said they only saw baking when they were out with the cookies that we’re gonna buy. They were completely already out peanut butter and the chocolate fudge cookie he became agitated when I asked about making more. I asked him who was his manager on duty. He pointed towards the back door and said she’s out there. I asked him did he mind getting her for me he said he would not get her I can go around back and talk to her which I did his attitude and his nonchalant demeanor was uncalled for. He pulled out his phone. He began to take pictures of us, which made me feel uncomfortable even after speaking with the manager she did nothing to try to rectify the problem. She apologize for his behavior. That was it. He definitely needs a refresher course in customer service.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The highlights of my most recent unpleasant experience at the store are: -Cake not ready at the time promised -The cake decorator proceeded to finish another cake (no one else was waiting) before starting on mine. -Cake decorator was rude/unprofessional and nasty -The younger Asian man working as cashier, ooooh I do not have a single kind thing to say about this man as he was rude, felt the need to stare me down (causing him to damage the icing on the cake since he wasn't looking while trying to close the lid) when I said "it will have to do" because I had to leave or I would have been late. -The cake it self looked like the Temu version of the design on their website -I will say the cake it self was fresh but the interaction to get the cake made it taste like trash.
I did call and speak to the manager Wanda, she apologized and stated she's understaffed so she can't do anything about her rude and disrespectful staff. No attempt was made to make it right... But Wanda did take the time to explain to me the former manager was a massive screw up and didn't do anything right. (why tell me this???)
Long story short, its worth it to drive back into Austin to not deal with these people and get what you actually ordered.
The cookies tasted stale. They were NOT like the normal GAC like you get at the mall or other places. These were clearly baked DAYS ago and were hard, crunchy, and just didn’t taste fresh at all. Usually GAC are chewy and soft. There’s a reason why this place has 3 stars! $5 for a stale cookie! Stay away.

Ordered my son’s bday cake online in advance with a pick up time of 1:15 on Sunday. Went by there at 1:20. Lights were off and door was locked. Have tried calling & drove back up there 2 more times with no luck. Now we have no cake for his celebration. I’m a pretty understanding person, but if you accept my order & charge my card, at least have the decency to give me a courtesy call if something came up & you’re not able to complete it, or turn off the online ordering if you’re not going to be open that day. Customer service on the website is a joke. There’s no # to call & you can’t even email because it makes you first select a location when there are none listed in the drop down tab.⬇️ In regards to the generic response below, are you for real? After endless calls to the local store, lack of a phone # to customer service, & inability to email prior, this is a laughable response. Was told we’d receive a refund, which has not happened. The whole situation is really disappointing & worthy of notifying the BBB…
