I've always enjoyed them. It was not busy at all. New location here is the Spring Branch/Bulverde area. Nice outdoor seating to enjoy the evening.

We will be back

Do not expect this to be a Panera that you know and love from other locations. Tiny dining room that is bright and sterile. Cheap tables and chairs. No warmth or coziness. Not the kind of place for lingering. Fast food version of a traditional Panera. Push-button machine coffee instead of hot brewed coffee, and you have to order using the touchpad kiosks. This is a drive-thru location at best. Not sure why they decided Bulverde did not deserve a real Panera.

Great place, very friendly staff that were immediately helpful with my missing silverware. Great food and atmosphere, would recommend!

We visited this location for the first time yesterday. I’m not a fan of the ordering kiosks, but that’s my personal issue. I went to use the bathroom upon arrival, and the cleanliness was deplorable. The entire toilet bowl was disgusting with trash overflowing. Tables were dirty and the trash area for you to put your trash upon leaving was overflowing with trash having to be left on counter above. Food was “ok” but definitely overpriced for the quality. My question…guests, place their own orders, pick up their food, remove trash from tables…there isn’t enough time for employees to address trash and cleanliness? We will NOT be returning.

12/13/2025 at 7:00 pm. Whoever was working on this time on this date did an incredible job. The food was on point, the service was super nice. This is the best Panera bread in Hill country. Five stars all the way.!!!

Beware if you do a mobile order, triple check your order. The first time I did one, ordered two bread bowls, two cookies and two bagels. Picked it up using the drive through, and did not check in the bag, when I got home, both soups were missing, and the two bagels were wrong, called them and said what happened and I was on my way back to get the soup. They were nice and even comped the meal, and said they did not have the bagels we ordered in stock, and handed me a bag with what I thought were the two missing soups, I almost drive away, and I look in the bag, it was only one soup! So I back up, and say it was supposed to be two soups, and he handed me another bag, drove home and it turned out to be a bread bowl, not another bowl of soup, my fault for not looking in the bag. Did a second mobile order tonight, but instead of choosing the drive through, I put that I would come in and get the order. Made the order from the parking lot, went in, waited for my order, it was done, got it, did a quick inventory and it seemed correct, but then I remembered we ordered bread bowls, and they were missing this time, so went to the counter and they corrected it, but good grief, not a good record. The food is good, but the portion sizes have gotten very small, I mean, the food is more expensive and you get less, pretty crazy.

Food and service are good! My only complaint is the size of this location. It’s so small, limited seating. I didn’t realize Panera takes up only half of this building. The other half is still empty. There’s some seating outside but it’s not shaded! And only a couple of tables had umbrellas.

*Editing my review to share the drink selection is much better than Creekside location in NB. All teas and lemonades are out over here, plus an iced coffee machine so to me, that makes up for the smaller size especially if you have the sip club.

Decided to try this new Panera Bread & was disappointed. We arrived about one & a half hrs before it closed. Dining area is small but very clean. We had to order on a kiosk. First of all, they were “sold out” of baguettes ( a favorite part of Panera) They were also out of ice tea, & several other items on menu. I picked sourdough bread as the alternate for my half Italian sandwich & a chicken rice soup for my pick 2. We eventually saw an employee when we waited by register to get our drink cups. Received a text when our order was ready. Very disappointed in my order! The half sandwich was an extremely small 2” square, & instead of ham, had turkey on it. I was not notified of the change to my order. My Apple was all bruised up. But the chicken rice soup was hot & tasted great, just no baguette with it. I know it has only recently opened, so I will give it another chance later. Meanwhile, I will continue to use the Panera I normally use, even though it’s further away. H

We ordered through the app. Food was better than we’ve had at other locations. Our salads were full and portions met expectations. When our order was ready, there was no announcement and we were sitting around the corner so it probably sat there a bit. Staff was very nice. Overall, we would come back for the drive through but don’t care for the new restaurant concept. They took away all of the cozy coffee shop vibes and now it feels like a box.

10-21-25, about 6:30-7:00 PM. In the drive thru, my son ordered a whole sandwich for himself and a Greek salad for me. It took more than 10 minutes to place an order and another 10 minutes to receive the food. He received a half sandwich rather than the whole sandwich he ordered.
At first look, I didn't see a problem with the salad. I opened it and then realized there were a few pieces of green lettuce that appeared to have been added to top dress the salad. Underneath, the lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes were brown, squishy, and frankly, rotten. It was disgusting. I had to immediately dispose of the entire salad.
Before this, I enjoyed eating at Panera restaurants for years as well as picking up take-out meals for my family. I was excited when a Panera's opened nearby.
This is definitely the last visit to this location.

Newly opened, an extremely understaffed the day I was there. No one to wait on you at the counter you had to order off of the kiosks. Therefore no one gave you your drink. When my sandwich finally arrived 30 minutes it barely had any meat on it. I've been to other locations so I know this is just going through growing pains.

$60 to feed 2 adults and 2 small children with mostly bread. Over $6 for a cup of soup not even a bowl. Asking for tip from a kiosk before getting any service. Apples were soft and bruised.

We gave this location a try this evening. We were met with very friendly service, but that was where the good ended unfortunately. I've shared an image on my $12 sandwich. This is the French dip, or at least it was pretending to be. 2 were ordered, and both were light on everything.
Excited for Jersey Mike's to open, and give them a try.

Service was awful. Staff worked in slow motion. Dirty dishes stacked up everywhere. No napkins or towels in bathrooms. Took 20 minutes to get a salad. Will never come back

The staff were very nice, the food was a little small but it’s a corporation, can’t expect the best. Even then, the sandwich and soup you pick two is good and not that expensive. I was recommended some pastries, so I will have to try them next time
