“A bit long,but detailed positive reviews are often hard to find.If you work or live near SAFB I recommend this little shop.The donut selection here is pretty decent even if you don’t arrive at the crack of dawn. They taste good & are light & fluffy. Your sprinkle loving kiddo, (inner kiddo) should be satisfied?. They make a variety of your standard type donuts (?,twists, French cruller, bars, holes, variety old fashioned, fritters, danish, glazed etc..) If you are wanting ones that have tons of candy, cereal or ones topped with the entire Cracker Barrel breakfast menu, you might be disappointed. Those who like filled donuts , you select the filling you want & they add your desired amount at time of order. This is great for ppl like me that want a bar donut WITHOUT filling. I’m a maple bar fan & theirs are pretty good. It’s hard to find a shop that actually adds maple flavor to the icing, as simply coloring icing does not magically make it maple. If they happened to add a tad more maple, I wouldn’t complain ?? but if not, I’ll still take these any day to avoid making my own.Not sure about all menu items since we have just stuck to donuts so far.They accept Cc which is a plus for those that don’t carry much if any cash.After tax I paid $13 & change for dozen ? & maple. Not sure if paying cash is slightly cheaper.I haven’t ever dined in, but there are a few tables available. It’s a quaint shop & nothing fancy BUT every time I’ve stopped in its been clean.They offer bottled beverages & coffee. I can’t speak to their coffee, but I didn’t care for the brand of OJ they carry. It’s not terrible, just on the tart side, so if u prefer a sweeter OJ maybe pass getting one.Great service & staff is super friendly, I had to be up at an ungodly hr today & did what good mothers (as defined by a 13yr old boy) do & decided to grab a dozen. I arrived just before opening, the gentleman working was making the donuts but he stopped & took my order letting me know it would be about 10min until finished. I opted to wait in my car & let him know I would be back in at the specified time. Shortly after, he brought the hot fresh goodness to my car! I say this not because it’s something that should be expected for the staff to do, but to share the type of owners/staff Delightful Donuts has. He could have simply left them on the counter & waited for me to come back inside. Nowadays people rarely go out of their way to do simple acts of kindness like this, so it’s comforting to know it’s not completely lost.Unfortunately I failed to get a pic before my son got to the box, I’ll attempt to remember nxt time & add to the review.“
