Driving through from Canyon Lake to Stephenville and decided to stop in. This place did not disappoint! The cfs was delish and so much that I had to take leftovers - and you can certainly tell that the buttermilk pie is made from scratch. Next time we are coming through, we will definitely be coming back!

The cream corn and the Mac-n-cheese were to die for! I highly recommend that if you are anywhere near Burnet that you stop by and try out Mama’s!! You can’t go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu!!

Has been a decent place to eat for good while. It was worth putting up with the sticky table tops and floors. But went today and found prices increased quite a bit. Its no longer worth the putting up with the table and floor conditions for that kind of money. We walked back and went elsewhere.

The food was good. I really liked the stewed okra, and the serving of meatloaf was very generous and they browned it on the griddle which gave it a crusty edge.
Everything here was amazing. Chicken fried steak with cream gravy was the best I’ve had in years. The mashed potatoes were fresh and the creamed corn was perfect. The dinner rolls are the classic style you expect from a home style restaurant and they keep em coming as long as you want them. The pies are homemade and the portions are generous. Great restaurant and we’ll be back anytime we are nearby.

Absolutely love the Chicken strips- they had a great flavor tender and overall amazing and while the mashed taters lacked seasoning they were real potatoes and with a bit of gravy made them yummy the Mac and cheese and gravy were amazing- the buttermilk pie was a tad sweeter than I like it was still yummy! Overall you can't beat the price or the amazing food. The wait staff are just as great! Thank y'all for the wonderful first time experience! Will be coming back!
