They just randomly added a tip that I never signed up for.
Edit: “I was cut off” but I was there to close my tab and I even was sober enough to add my emailid to get the receipt. And as far as I know the bar was open so technically my tab was valid and active. Yes the amount of alcohol I had was pretty high but if you could serve me with the bill you can almost certainly expect to give me a chance to tip my own rates.

The food was great-Ate there 10/23 and 10/26 while staying in the RV park of Container City. The food and service both times were great-had a grilled chicken sandwich special and chicken tinga tacos on 10/23 and grilled chicken sandwich, Tavern burger fries and onion rings. Beer, drink, queso and chips on 10/26/25. The bartender on 10/26 said it was happy hour all day. My husband ran a tab and paid out. I looked at the receipt the next day and - two different prices for the same beer-one full price and one happy hour price and full price for the chips and queso -advertised at about half price. It's hard to keep track of the charges when you run a tab - at least we got a receipt. Will definitely go back when we are in the area but will not run a tab. Edit 11/24/25. Would appreciate a response from management.

The fries were okay. The onion rings were burnt and the chicken wings had a weird taste and rubber texture.
I was very excited to try this place based on previous reviews and photos. As we are here for the weekend for our anniversary, I can safely say we will not be back and I would not recommend this place to others.
There was also dog poop all over the eating area - we told the server and no one picked any of it up.
We left and went elsewhere to eat after throwing 95% of our food away. Very costly bottle of water and a few fries.
Update:: we didn’t end up eating anywhere else as our stomachs are hurting. I can’t get this nasty taste out of my mouth and I’m sick.
Update:: I ended up with food poisoning from the wings. It was not a fun experience. I really was looking forward to eating here and enjoying the music.
Not a good time when you have to dodge dog poop in the eating area and end up sick on your anniversary weekend getaway.

Im not gonna lie, I stay at Thunderbird periodically to Ride Spider Mountain and I really look forward to going to Templeton's every time I visit. Its hard to explain but the peacefulness of this bar in the middle of nowhere is just so awesome. I always end up talking to new people and having a great time, both mountain bikers and everyone else that passes through. The positive energy of the place really seems to rub off on all the people there, always a fun time.

So much fun! It was karaoke night, and such a blast. Everyone is friendly and welcoming! Did and drinks were great! Whether you are coming from the lake or just riding through, you should check it out!
We loved this place so much that we went three times in two days! Chill vibe with good food options and great cocktails and beers.

Food was pretty good, nothing too special. Service was great and the food came at a reasonable pace! The atmosphere on the other hand, not so good. No matter where you sit, there is extremely loud rock music and flies everywhere. You can’t hear anyone at your table without yelling and you have to constantly wave flies away from your food. Half the seating makes you sit directly in the sun. I can’t say I recommend coming here but there’s not much else in the area. 🍔 🍟

The service at the bar for ordering food was excellent. My burger came out with cheese when ticket clearly said no cheese. But those swarms of darn flies are relentless. Covering good and waving over everyone's food..not good
