I ordered a brisket taco, and it was truly the best brisket taco I have ever had. The meat was incredibly tender and packed with rich, smoky flavor. It was perfectly complemented by the fresh toppings, which included chopped onion, sliced jalapeño, and plenty of cilantro. Each ingredient added its own layer of taste and texture. I also had the chance to try the pulled pork, which was just as flavorful and satisfying as the brisket. The service is simple and works through a walk-up...
My experience was very mediocre as it was of the worst bbq food I’ve had. Brisket was blend, not salty at all. Same for pulled pork, no seasoning whatsoever. However, the turkey was extremely over salted. We couldn’t even eat it and had to throw it all out. 3 stars barely in my opinion.
Outstanding BBQ ... can you get better (yes - but it'll cost you travel time and $$$) ... within 20 miles of New Braunfels (no) ... love their rotation of specialty meats such as dino ribs, pastrami brisket, pork belly burnt ends and Akashi brisket ... and get a Jalapeño popper to round out your meal!
