Was really excited to try this place and it was a let down because of the staff. We were forgotten about and waited 15min after being seated in the back for anyone to remember us and get us some drinks. Food took a REALLY long time to get to us and when we finally got it, it wasn't hot. Everything was seasoned good so hopefully it was an off day but it was a disappointment 😞

The food here is absolutely delicious! The fried chicken was so moist and crispy, and the sausage gravy flavorful and creamy! The biscuit was fluffy and flaky, all around the perfect breakfast!

I've only had breakfast here, but dayum! Good food, friendly service, a nice morning drive in the topless Bronco from New Braunfels.
My advice: show up early and show up hungry. The menu items should have warning labels for portion size. The short stack pancakes are short, but lord have mercy they are wide too! Every dish I've had has felt like one of those contests where if you eat it all you get it free. May have to order a senior plate or share a plate next time.
Anyway, go. Eat. Enjoy. And be patient with and tip the waitstaff. They get busy but they will take care of you.

If you happen to be in town for vacation or passing by, I'd highly recommend for the simple fact the food is in abundance for the price you pay and can easily become 3 meals if you have your own eggs to add to it or just order extras.😀 The service was friendly but should inform you the food will take a good minute, considering the portions you're getting are massive. The mens room is small and could easily become over occupied so be prepared if you have to go. The food was properly cooked and was to our expectations. The lighting was plentiful and showcased the food. Interior decorations need updating and counter checkout should upsale the desserts in the display case but wasn't offered. The pancakes do not come with real butter but we didn't ask if they had it as an option.

We came through town for the weekend on business and were pointed in the direction of Granny D’s from someone who works at the hotel we are staying at…. Could not be more grateful that we listened to the recommendation.
It also happened to be my husband‘s birthday, and he was pleasantly surprised when the fantastic staff and entire restaurant serenaded him
Granny D’s is a warm and welcoming restaurant that feels like home and is filled with friendly faces.
AMAZING service (thank you Rachael) and delicious food second to none.
We thoroughly enjoyed our chicken fried steak, perfectly prepared eggs, breakfast potatoes, and the best sourdough toast you could ask for along with fantastic sourdough french toast and homemade jam so good we bought a jar for the road.
We may have also splurged on pancakes to go so that we could enjoy them next day…… when I say they are the biggest pancakes you’ve ever seen I mean it. So many varieties, so delicious and completely worth it.
If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, you will not regret stopping in for a wonderful experience and lovingly made meal!
