DONT GO TO LA PASADITA

Thanks for taking the time to reply on Google, but your response overlooked nearly everything I actually said — and in doing so, confirmed the exact problem with how this restaurant is now run.

Let me be very clear and detailed, since you weren’t:

1. You referred to beef fajitas, but I ordered chicken fajitas. That alone tells me you didn’t even check your POS system before replying. If you didn’t verify the order, how could you take anything else I said seriously?

2. My chicken fajitas were unseasoned, rubbery, and soaked in oil — no sear, no flavor, and definitely not fresh off the grill. It looked and tasted like pre-packaged, boil-in-bag meat from a grocery store. No effort went into this dish, yet you charged over $20.

3. I asked to have jalapeños cooked in, as I’ve done many times before. Your explanation that doing so “smokes up the kitchen” is illogical — especially since you still cooked them on the side. If cooking them separately doesn’t cause smoke, cooking them with the fajitas wouldn’t either. And let’s be honest: there has never been a smoke issue here before. This is clearly just a made-up excuse.

4. The fajitas used to be full of multicolored bell peppers and flavor. This time, it was just onions and one green bell pepper. No mention of this downgrade in your reply.

5. The entire staff has changed, and the new team lacks the service standards we grew to appreciate over the years. You mentioned a transition in management but said nothing about the staff — or what’s being done to maintain consistency or training.

6. My wife and I — an interracial couple (she’s Dominican, I’m white) — waited over 90 minutes for our food while multiple Hispanic families who arrived after us were greeted warmly and served promptly. We watched it happen again and again. That kind of treatment felt like racial bias, and your response said absolutely nothing about it.

7. I also brought up the unsafe and limited parking, with only a few usable spots that feel exposed to traffic. You ignored this as well.

8. I specifically said, I want my money back. That wasn’t even acknowledged. You didn’t offer a refund, store credit, or even an apology for the poor value and experience. Keep the cash so you can start drinking.

9. Lastly, your entire response reads like it was generated by ChatGPT or some other AI — and not reviewed or personalized by an actual human. It referenced the wrong order, failed to answer basic points, and closed with empty PR language like “warm regards” while avoiding all accountability.

I’ve been coming here for years. This was one of our favorite places. But the way we were treated, the decline in food quality, the robotic customer service, and the unaddressed issue of discrimination make it clear this restaurant is no longer what it used to be.

If you truly value long-time customers, this is your chance to show it — not with another AI-written deflection, but with a genuine human response, accountability, and some form of resolution.

We went here last week and everything is totally different.

The food used to be fantastic. The service used to be fantastic and the atmosphere is the same.

The fajitas used to be good. I used to be able to order them with jalapeños cooked in. They also used to be seasoned.

I was told this time most recently that they don’t do that anymore, but they can give me jalapeños on the side. The reason why is so it doesn’t smoke up the kitchen.

They gave me cooked jalapeños on the side of my Fajitas which did not at all make any sense. I guess when you cook them separate, they don’t smoke; but last time I checked my cast-iron smokes up a jalapeño either way cooked with fajitas or not. I don’t know what brain dead Cook they hired that said no, but maybe they should reconsider their employees Current level of training.

Regarding my fajitas, they look like they were made by one of the local crackheads. It was quite literally the bag of fajitas that you can purchase at H-E-B (boil cooked, mind you, with NO seasoning.) opened and put into a pot and they doused it with oil and water and called it Mexican food. They used to be multicolored bell peppers in my food and this time I had a fresh onion and one green bell pepper in the dish that they had the audacity to charge me over $20 for.

The servers are completely different, And so is the new owner/manager.

Do not give them your business. I recommend you just go to H-E-B and buy the bag of fajitas or the premade enchiladas because that’s all they’re serving you there and they’re putting a $15 markup on it.

It’s a shame because I used to go here every Sunday after Church with my family and friends and now we don’t and we will not be returning. We would much rather go to Guadalajara literally right next-door and unfortunately watch this business tank. It’s a shame.

I highly recommend that the new owners walk across the street and start drinking. Because the liquor license got taken. Maybe their food will taste better after a few.

R.I.P the best Mexican Restaurant in Canyon Lake.

Frankly I want my money back

This place is a little gem!! I’m a white girl who grew up in Mexico so I know REAL Mexican food . Place is small but inviting
From the very first bite I was ecstatic! Enchiladas Verdes is always my litmus test for authenticity… they were delicious! Had flan for desert and it certainly did not disappoint.
