Seriously, the best cheeseburger we've had in many years. This place is in the canyon. Seats to eat are both inside and outside. The Trading Post has souvenirs and snack-type items with a good variety of thirst quenchers. It's a small place and often quite crowded. Other than the beauty of the canyon, it's the cheeseburgers that will bring you back.
We stopped at the Palo Duro Trading Post after walking some of the trails, and it was a pleasant experience. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The store has a lot of knick-knacks and some useful items for camping.

I had the chicken fried steak sandwich. It was delicious. My wife had the burger and fries, which were equally a delicious. They've got a self service condiment bar for making your sandwich however you want it.
