Eat on paper plates and plastic knife and fork. Yea is not in glass containers just in paper cups. No choice of salad with the meal and limited menu choices. In fact not even a menu to look at before we have to order. Poor choice of venue. No atmosphere what so ever

My wife and I decided to go here for an impromptu lunch date and were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the owner and his amazing food skills. He had just made up a new concoction and asked if I'd like to try it. The concoction was a smoked pork chop on a bun with all the fixings, including a new sauce that he had come up with. My wife ordered some fried catfish and fries. Let me just say that the pork chop literally melted in my mouth, and the sauce completed the dish. The fried catfish was tender, flaky, and also paired well with that sauce or the tartar. The owner chatted with us for quite a while, which made our outing even better. Thank you, Paw Paw, for a truly awesome meal and conversation. May God bless you, your place, and your patrons. We'll be back.

We ordered ribs and chicken wings. I have to say them wings are probably one of the best wings I've ever eaten. Simply delicious. The ribs are also very soft and juicy.

Pawpaw’s Firehouse Cafe catered my rehearsal dinner and the entire experience was great. From the delicious southern food to their kindness and hospitality we were very happy with the experience. Solid BBQ place and the dining room is comfortable and looks like a roadhouse. The owner was very friendly and made funny jokes to make it fun. There are decoratios to firefighting everywhere and a tribute wall to NYC firefighers on 9/11. Great lunch jist outside of Roundtop TX.
