My wife and I decided to go here for an impromptu lunch date and were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the owner and his amazing food skills. He had just made up a new concoction and asked if I'd like to try it. The concoction was a smoked pork chop on a bun with all the fixings, including a new sauce that he had come up with. My wife ordered some fried catfish and fries. Let me just say that the pork chop literally melted in my mouth, and the sauce completed the dish. The fried catfish was tender, flaky, and also paired well with that sauce or the tartar. The owner chatted with us for quite a while, which made our outing even better. Thank you, Paw Paw, for a truly awesome meal and conversation. May God bless you, your place, and your patrons. We'll be back.

What a hidden gem! We randomly stumbled upon this place in the middle of nowhere. To our surprise what a great find!
Paw-Paw has been running his restaurant because he loves cooking and eating.
We ordered ribs and chicken wings. I have to say them wings are probably one of the best wings I've ever eaten. Simply delicious. The ribs are also very soft and juicy.

Solid BBQ place and the dining room is comfortable and looks like a roadhouse. The owner was very friendly and made funny jokes to make it fun. There are decoratios to firefighting everywhere and a tribute wall to NYC firefighers on 9/11. Great lunch jist outside of Roundtop TX.

The hamburgers are phenomenal as well! you can partake of sporting events on TVs or you might choose to sit outside on their huge wrap-around porch to enjoy your meal and the fresh air of this beautiful South Central Texas countryside.
This restaurant is in the heart of the Round Top/ Warrenton antique Mecca and was designed to be a tribute to all firefighters, Fireman who visit this restaurant get to sign their wall, or in this case, walls because, they're all covered in signatures of our brave men and women. There's a special wall in memoriam, the families of firefighters that are no longer with us are always welcome to sign the names of their loved ones!
Check out the antique fire truck in the very front of the building by the Highway, Great place to stop and take your picture. They have a huge show space for the antique dealers during the Antiques Show that is part of the largest antique show in the world that happens twice a year in Round Top and Warrenton, Texas during the month of March and October every year.
