Al Markaz Pakistani Indian Restaurant in Carrollton, TX is outstanding. Every dish is packed with authentic flavor. The Nihari is rich and comforting, the Bihari kabab is smoky and tender, and the bhoona gosht and karahi chicken are perfectly spiced. Daal tadka, daal palak, and the fragrant pulao are all excellent. Consistently delicious food—highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Al-Markaz Restaurant for over 20+ years, and it’s been a long-time favorite. The ambience has changed over the years (especially after about 15 years), but what really matters—the food—has remained consistently good in taste.
The flavors are still the same and very reliable, which is why I keep coming back. That said, I do feel the portion sizes are a bit smaller now compared to before. One thing that still truly stands out is the chaat—it’s really tasty and one of the best reasons to visit.
Overall, it’s a solid, trusted restaurant with decades of consistency, and I’m happy to continue dining here.

their nihari is solid, as is their chai. service is what you’d expect of a place like this (not existent) but it makes up for it in food. their chai is also really solid

Great food, reasonably priced. Grocery with halal meat is attached. All in all, highly recommended. Their chats are amazing, frontier chicken is my favorite, so is Bihari Kebab.

This is a nice grocery store attached with restaurant having better pakistani food varieties. I visited here twice times after being long time missing specially pakistani food, we perched a lot of grocery and take pakistani tea with samosa that was delicious. On the second day we buy a 'chart' from there but its taste was so sour and ingredients were not healthy and the women there she used the same glows which she continuly using those even when she was sitting free there. The another issue is I saw the out side building pillars and walls were radish with splitting 'paun' here and there, it looked that people using 'paun' are not caring about cleanliness and what the standard is here so I wish that they should care about it and the owner has the responsibility to ensure that standard around the location as well.

I had ordered mutton biryani for take out and the portion was a joke. Paid $17 smth and got a portion so small. Like literally it was so small for a birynai. A small container was given and it was like super small. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED

We come to Almarkaz from long long time we love food but today we are so disappointed we understand they busy but in holiday time they should plan to hire more staff our food was horrible so much oil look like we drink oil in Karahi and Nan was burn no one cares and Karahi was full of chilli the owner has to replace his chef as it’s very unhealthy for community and tea was old too. Today our experience was very bad sorry but the server was humble her name is Rosie
