“This hidden gym in Carrollton Texas has the best seafood boil of any place I’ve ever been to. As a seafood fanatic, this is miles ahead of any other seafood restaurant I have been to. I ordered three pounds of crawfish with their signature “Captain Loui” sauce medium heat and it was delicious to say the least. The wait time was incredibly short compared to other seafood boil spots in the DFW area and the staff were friendly and kind. I didn’t see an employee who didn’t look happy to be there which was a nice touch to the already amazing atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone!”

I made the mistake of asking for the sauce on the side, thinking it would be too spicy. I suggest you order as it should be prepared and perhaps indicate the leve of crispness that you like for your wings. Overall, great spot for Korean comfort food.”

After fiddling with the app I went to the counter and explained the situation to the lady who didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. She asked me if I would like to place my order at the counter. I said yes, but only if I could get the special sauce and she shook her head yes I could. I repeated it again to make absolutely sure she understood what I was asking. After a ridiculously long way I got my food with no sauce at all. Then the manager told me oh were out of it. I explained when I placed my order the only reason I was getting the food was for the sauce and if they didn't have it that I wasn't interested and I was told that they did.”

The broth is unbelievably rich, deep, and packed with flavor slow simmered for hours until it turns into pure comfort in a bowl. The pork literally falls off the bone, and the portion is huge!

“We came on a Friday and they had the triangle kimbap available - which was excellent. Got the spicy bulgogi and it was smoky, sweet, spicy, and savory with a great meat-to-rice ratio. Also got the hotteok. We had the original last time we came and it was really really good (we were pleasantly surprised as this was new for us - a honey pancake type snack with nuts) and this time we had the Nutella version which was just as good. Also had the yuzuade which was very very good, it's unique and a delicate balance of sweet, tangy, and refreshing. We also tried their k-dogs this time and they were very large for the price. Everything overall was over my expectations. We remembered this place despite it being months since last coming and will definitely be coming back in the future”

The kids got a big kick out of sitting on floor pillows for dinner. The menu is extensive with Korean and Japanese items — including hibachi and sushi! Everything is reasonably priced and is meant to be a fast casual dine-in or takeout spot. So Carrollton folks — if you find yourself going to Sushi Kadan or another neighborhood joint — try this one out too! We have another spot for a tasty and healthy dinner. Kid friendly too! The vibe is welcoming and the beer selection was solid—something for everyone—and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. That said, it was hot inside. Even just sitting and chatting, we were uncomfortably warm, which made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the experience. I’m not sure if it was a one-off issue or just how the space handles summer weather, but some fans or improved airflow would make a big difference. Still, I’d definitely give it another try—hopefully on a cooler day!”

“I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.”

The waiter asked what sauce we would like for our crawfish; we had a little trouble deciding whether we’ll go with the spicy one or mild once since it’s our first time here and they don’t do half batches with different sauce. He suggested to get it in mild and have the spicy sauce on the side, unbeknownst to us that the side sauce is $3.25. There’s nothing wrong with getting charged extra but there was no communication that there will be an extra charge with the sauce on the side. But other than that, we had a good time and thought the crawfish was good. We would come back again and be mindful about the extra charge.”

First off, the atmosphere was very cozy on a cold day, with low lighting and a few trees inside decorated for Christmas. We were served promptly and each got a bento, both around $13-14.
Let me tell you, for that price, we got a LOT of food. We easily could’ve shared. Each came with salad, two gyoza, 4 California rolls, 3 pieces of tempura, some tater tots, and the main course that you chose. Ours came with a LOT of rice and cabbage under our meat. So value for money is no question great here.
I’d say everything in the bento was okay. The tonkotsu was almost burnt and the crust had no flavor, but it was alright. The salad dressing was very lemony, but everything was mostly bland or uninteresting. Definitely filling though!
