“The food was great, but the price was outrageous. I bought 1/2 pound of brisket and 1/2 pound sausage - a total of 1 pound of meat, and 2 sides. The total came to $55.51. That's crazy!!! Unfortunately, I can't afford to go back there again. Too bad, because they're located 1 block from my home and the food is great, but the price is way out of my budget range.“

“Me and my family have been to multiple Korean bbqs but this one has truly been outstanding. The food, the service, all so good! Truly sets your expectations high. Our server Kevin was very impressive, he was serving multiple tables at a time but yet was very attentive to every single one of them! He truly is amazing at his job! “Me and my friends always come here for late night dinner and always get taken care by Nick, he is very attentive and the food quality is worth more than the price they set it up for. We’ve tried different places of KBBQ but the is by far our favorite one especially the pork jowl!“

“I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.“

“Went here last night for dinner with my wife. Met the new owner, who came and introduced himself. Very friendly and loved that he took time to visit with us, box up the leftovers and gave us a very honorific good bye as we left. We will certainly be back.“

“If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in Carrollton, please give Kooksoo a try. This place honestly deserves so much more attention. My boyfriend and I got the King Rib Jjamppong. The food was absolutely delicious, comforting, and full of flavor, but what really stood out was how kind and genuine the owner was. He personally came out to check on every table, asking if everything tasted good and whether the spice level was okay. You can really tell he cares about his customers and puts his heart into the restaurant.

In a time where so many places feel rushed or impersonal, this felt incredibly warm and welcoming. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely kind service. Small family-owned restaurants like this deserve all the support. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

All the sauces are really flavorful, but the best way to order in my opinion is the plain golden original chicken with a side of sauce for dipping. That's keeps the breading super crispy wyle you eat it.

“Love this place! Been coming here for bout 4 - 5 years now. It definitely is a dope vibe when you’re grubbing with the peeps and the servers are awesome. There are couple new faces for sure but they’re great and Jeffery and Moon are always attentive to making sure it’s always great when me and the squad come in, so much so they’ll have us seated and already bring out what we usually order.
