“I visited this restaurant twice with family during my recent visit to Dallas. Ambiance was great and staff very welcoming and attentive. Appeared as if we were being treated as personal guests. Standard of food and hygiene was beyond any doubt remarkable. What really impressed me was that washrooms were sparkling clean with all amenities. Overall an excellent experience and my appreciation to management and owners for doing a very fine job. Wish you all the success!“

Unfortunately, I can't afford to go back there again. Too bad, because they're located 1 block from my home and the food is great, but the price is way out of my budget range.“

“This was my very first time dining at Manna Shabu & BBQ (Lewisville location) while visiting for a concert weekend, and I have to say—it was such a wonderful experience! They were even having a special collaboration with a local small business vendor for the Ateez concert and offering a complimentary Lemon Drop mocktail for each diner, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. I believe it was the owner or manager who greeted me, and when he learned it was my first visit, he kindly explained the menu, the dining options, and where to find the different food and sauce stations. I was then shown to my table where a very sweet server brought me water and took my order. Throughout my meal, two other staff members as well as the owner/manager checked on me often. The service was beyond excellent—everyone was attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. Now onto the food—oh my gosh, the portions were incredible! I ordered three different meats and was so pleasantly surprised at the generous serving sizes. At most KBBQ places, one order barely feels like enough for a single person, but here, each order was hearty and satisfying. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my boyfriend and mom while on the phone during my meal! The meat was fresh, high-quality, and delicious—even without dipping sauces. The corn cheese also deserves a special shout-out—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Beyond the main dishes, there were so many great options: hot plates like mandu, sausage, japchae, fried rice, and chicken; a nice selection of banchan; an ice cream station for dessert; and a wide variety of sauces to complement everything. The restaurant itself was very clean, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and even the restrooms were spotless. I also loved that the TVs played some of my favorite K-pop groups and the music playlist was absolutely top tier—it really added to the fun vibe. Dining here as a solo traveler, I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place. On the contrary, I felt taken care of and treated like a queen. It was such a comforting and memorable experience, and I am so thankful for the outstanding hospitality and service I received. “Great hole in the wall Mexican bbq place. I had some Al pastor tacos and brisket sandwich. The tacos had onions and cilantro and I got the green medium hot salsa (which was a good medium spice level). The brisket sandwich was good sized and came with pickles and onions and warmed bbq sauce.“

“This is a old-school BBQ joint on Leonard Street in downtown. They have a fair sized indoor seating and some outside tables as well. You can do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 3pm (lunch only), closed on Sundays. Had a very good lunch here recently. The chopped beef sandwich was delicious, sides of okra, potato casserole and beans were great. Ended up taking home a large order of brisket, sausage and more sides for a larger group of friends for the evening. Everyone loved the meal. Two Sammy's meals in one day and was left wanting more. Would gladly return based on this experience.“

The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.“

Our meal was preordered and ready when I arrived to pick it up. Once I got to my daughters she noticed that the brisket portion was less than what it should've been, we were missing one macncheese, no butter for the rolls and there was zero BBQ sauce! I called the restaurant and Sutton, the manager, was very kind, apologetic and offered to do what he needed to do to make it right. He explained that the macncheese portion was correct it was combined into one container and explained if I would drive back with a picture of what I did pick up, he would have brisket ready for me to make the order correct. I said yes because our family has to have BBQ sauce! When I got there he had two containers of brisket, another dozen of rolls and a bag full of butters for us! Thank you Sutton! You're the best!“

You can have multiple flavors in a single bite. 7-Fruit Chat8/10, Good range of fruits in a single serving 8-Masla Fries 9/10 Crispy and Fresh with balanced spices 9-Pakoras8/10. You can feel homemade taste in Pakoras. Ambience 8/10 They have very positive change in sitting arrangements. Whole furniture is changed and place is spacious and can accommodate more guests now. “True Texas BBQ is located inside HEB and is a lower cost BBQ restaurant. I ordered the 2 meat plate with burnt ends and turkey, and both meats surprisingly were not bad. The burnt ends were tender and flavorful, and the turkey was smokey and tender as well. For sides I got the caesar slaw which was a unique twist on a traditional slaw, and fried okra. Both sides were perfectly fine. Overall the food was better than I thought and decent for the price. Taste won't rival more dedicated BBQ places nearby like Hutchins or Tender Smokehouse, but is perfectly adequate for a quick decent meal. The interior is simple. Service is pretty slow with only one person manning the front and everyone else in the kitchen.“
