I have alway been a big fan of a local Frisco and Mc Kinney Texas BBQ joint. Now after trying True Texas BBQ at two of there locations I have put True Texas BBQ on the top of my favorite, I used the drive-thru in Plano and dine in at the San Antonio location. I se no need to go back to the two over priced local BBQ joints in Frisco or Mc Kinney.
I'd put the his BBQ up against any other BBQ in Texas and it would win hands down! Went yesterday and it was so good that I brought the whole family with me today. The lean sliced biscuit was moist and full of flavor, plus it has a delicious sweet peppery charred crust. Love their BBQ sauce too. Thick enough to stick, with a sweet bold flavor. The people there who who work at the counter and in the kitchen are all very nice, so the service was great. The ambience is Texas country....read full review

Had been meaning to try this place since it was inside of HEB. I got the chopped brisket sandwich and fries. To me the meat needed actual flavor. You can tell they just cook the meat and add the barbecue sauce for flavor but even then it barely added flavor to it. Wasn’t expecting the wedgie style fries either. The peach cobbler was decent as well.
