“We went kinda late. They were out of beef ribs, so I settled for the pork ribs, and my fiance got a chicken plate. The food was ok, simple bbq with no soul, and the chicken breast looked like a body builder.lol.Service was great. the atmosphere was ok. They had a live band out back. We might try it again on our next trip to Texas. O and try the margaritas, fire my fiance said.“
“I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place with my family as we were traveling in for the week. Almost immediately I was taken in by awesome scenery and hospitality of the owners. Matt and Trisha were some of the nicest and respectful people I have ever met. Not even a minute after order our drinks, they were quickly brought to the table. After looking the menu over, we decided to order The Hoss, which contained every meat on the menu, 3 sausages of our choice, 3 sides of our choice, and plenty of bread. Brisket, Pulled Pork, Turkey, and half a rack of ribs were the meats given, and let me just say, every single one was excellent. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, cut perfectly, everything perfect. The sides were excellent, with the green beans being the best I have ever had. The Mac and cheese was to die for and the coleslaw was sooo good. Don't even get me started on the bread! Lastly the desserts we tried were so good. The churro peach cobbler was a pleasant surprise and the banana cream cupcake was also outstanding. The cobbler was so fresh and the cupcake was truly delicious. Overall I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to get some good BBQ. The hospitality was unmatched and the food was perfect all around!“
“Got some Wagyu and Prime Brisket and ribs with Mac, collared greens, BBQ beans and some drinks. Everything was real delicious particularly the Wagyu brisket. Excellent food, very nice and clean dining area and the workers are great. Would definitely return when I'm back in the Dallas area ?“
“One of the best KBBQ spots that I have been to! The service is ?, they are very attentive to making sure that you have a good experience. The place has a nice and calm atmosphere that really lets you enjoy the meal and leaving fully satisfied. The top place I will recommend for a nice hangout and meal!“
“The best BBQ Pork Ribs and Brisket I've personally ever had. The Crack Cake is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth period. So so so good. The sides are mostly fine, not a huge fan of their other meats as well. But for ribs and brisket, this is the spot. Just amazing.“
“Amazing smoked brisket... The Armadillo Poppers and spicy Mac and Cheese are too due for! Be sure to try the spicy pickles on the condiment bar!Parking: Street parking... We ended up parking in residential area 3-4 blocks away and walking. This place is totally worth the walk!“
“There are so many great things about this place that I must categorize. Let me start by saying 10 out of 10!!!!Food- if you love spice then this is definitely the spot! The potatoes were crispy, the chicken was well seasoned and super fresh!! The rice bowl with shrimp packed a punch for sure! The Loro burger was delicious! The drink flight is always a must to get a taste for which one you'll be ordering next time you come!Atmosphere - The vibes were great! Low-key lighting with sports playing on the TV's! There was a full service bar, and an outside seating area with a fireplace!!Summary - this place is definitely one to come back and try again! Great for meeting friends, dates and just going out by yourself!“
“OMG!!! Come here on Tuesday all night Special for drinks and Japanese BBQ! Mwaah, chefs kiss???So good, you won’t regret. Large beautiful relaxed atmosphere. Our server Angel was so attentive. And thanks to Joe at the bar who we met at the bank for telling us about this place. Definitely a favorite spot of ours! Dine here for sure.“
“Finally got to go a House Of Blues and it was a one of a kind experience. Was pleasantly surprised by the sizeable concert venue they had downstairs as well as how up close and personal we were able to get with the bands. Looking forward to attending more concerts here in the future.“
“When I tell you that this is the best DICKEY’S in Dallas Texas, I mean it! I experience, top-tier customer service from Miss Lakisha! I’m recommending the fresh and tasty food all the way to the customer service! It is unmatched! I almost didn’t want to write this review because I want to keep this little spot for myself! But the genuine and selfless customer service that I got from the manager on yesterday! Was absolutely amazing! She was the sweetest, caring lady. I haven’t experienced that type of customer service since before Covid! And I can tell that she was not just pretending, and that’s just the way she was because I sat outside and ate my food, and when I walked back in, I seen her helping another customer, and she gave all the same pleasant demeanor ! She is the reason I am writing this review! And also the excellent quality of the food! This has been my favorite spot for a while now the manager just put the Cherry on top of my experience for me! I don’t know if she was the manager or the owner but I would like to really really acknowledge her for her positive demeanor, and excellent customer service! This is a place you can come with your whole family and feel comfortable and relaxed!!! Wish I could get more stars this place rocks!!! Thanks for Keeping excellent customer service, even when no one’s watching! OK I just contacted the owner to get the name of the Nice lady that served me in her name is Miss Lakisha! I think this restaurant deserves recognition the Owner of this restaurant was very nice and well spoken over the phone as well!Dietary restrictions: I had the chicken sandwich and a side of potato salad. I do not eat beef or pork! I have diet restrictions, and a very sensitive stomach! This location never disappoints. Food is always tasty and fresh every time I frequent this location!Parking: The parking is free and there is always a spot available.“
“My family ate here last Saturday 4/13. There were 8 of us, we ordered the Party Pack that feeds 8-10 people. The food was amazing, the staff was great. We left with to-go boxes as there was so much food. So Delicious! I highly recommend this place if you are near the Southside area. If you are not near that area, it's worth the trip to go.“
“This one of my favorite spots to eat! You can eat something different everyday of the week if you wanted to! So far everything I tried has been delicious! Great customer service! I would highly recommend you try them out!! Tell them Nykel sent you!“
“This place is great! Saw it on Instagram took my wife on a date and it was awesome. The meat is high quality, really worth the price. We got the JOA option for 2 and it was versatile and fulfilling in the cuts of meat they serve. Definitely could feed a 3rd person. Our waitress was super nice however, our experience was not like other Korean BBQs. Im not sure if its because we ordered the JOA option, but we did not cook our own food our waitress did and she was very attentive especially with 4 other tables she was servicing at the same time. Definitely a nice date place or a group outing!“
“Excellent beef brisket sandwich, in fact the best I’ve ever eaten. The Mac n cheese & vinagar slaw were the perfect compliment to the sandwich. Highly recommend and will be back!Only disappointment, this is not really a sit down eatery. But the food and friendly service is definitely worth the trip!“
“The delectable flavors on offer at Smokey John's Bar-B-Que & Home Cooking simply cannot be described adequately through mere words. The only way to truly understand the deliciousness is to experience it for yourself. The catfish is so fresh and flavorful, it will leave you craving more. The sausage links are not just tasty, they are downright addictive. Every bite of the Salisbury steak transports you back to the warmth and love of a homemade meal prepared by grandma. The smoked chicken is so juicy and tender, it practically falls off the bone with every bite. And let's not forget about the undefeated champion of comfort food - the Mac and cheese. But the culinary delights are not the only thing that makes Smokey John's stand out. The customer service is reminiscent of the hospitality and warmth of New Orleans. It's rare to find a restaurant that not only excels in food quality but also provides a welcoming and homey atmosphere. In a city where restaurants come and go, Smokey John's is a gem that seems destined to stand the test of time. For those seeking a true taste of Southern hospitality and unforgettable flavors, this establishment is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't regret it.“
“i went to Sweet Georgia Brown on Saturday, April 13th around 3:45 pm. The food looked hot, mouth-watering, and I was ready to eat! All of the men who worked the line were so nice, and welcoming. On another note, the older gentleman working the cash register didn't speak, smile or even tell me the total! All he did was took my card, and handed it back to me!! On a positive note, there was a man who may have been a security officer, because of his uniform, who was at a table putting your food in a plastic bag. Let me tell you, he was so nice, had a big smile, and made you want to come back! My suggestion would be to put someone else to work the register who can smile, and at least speak to your "paying" customers! Because that old man looked like he didn't want to be bothered! And last, but not least, the food was sooo delicious, and I will definitely be back!“
“I've been to Turkey Leg Paradise a couple times when I'm in Dallas and it never disappoints! Food is great, but they also get pretty lit at night if that's what you're looking for. Ask for Sam at the bar, she's the best!“
“Went for a function after work. I’d never been and didn’t know what to expect. Wow, I can’t believe I had been driving past this place every day for two years. The meats were great, my legit only complaint is they don’t have flour for the tacos, only corn. I’m allergic to corn, so my dreams of having the brisket tacos were killed, sad day. I ended up with the poutine, which made things a little better.“
“Today I returned to Heim to try their Bacon Burnt Ends as they were sold out the last time I visited. Man, were they good! Loved the fries as well. What was an added plus was the loaves of white bread available to eat with our meals. Burnt Ends, Barbecue Sauce, and white bread is a combination that should not be missed. Had myself a fabulous lunch.“
“One of the best kbbq in town. Service was great, so was the side dish and meat quality. Cooking over charcoal makes the best taste better, for real. You know you are in the right spot when there's actually older Korean customers in there. Will definitely go back. There has not a big table for more then 6. But they said they are renovating and should have that capacity in October. It's a write your name on the paper type of reservation place. Will definitely go back.Update....... More seating, better ventilation, good quality meat, tons of banchan. Yes, a little more expensive but you do get what you pay for.“
“⭐️?✨This was my first time at a Korean restaurant and I am very impressed! The service is amazing. They brought me plates of various kinds of delicious food and the main dish was incredible.I highly recommend this place. If I could give 10 stars I would!✨⭐️??⭐️?✨“
“I visited this place on a Monday evening and had the most amazing food. I tried the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, with fried okra and BBQ beans. I believe everything is seasoned with salt and pepper, but it all tastes perfectly seasoned. Even the friend okra was salt and peppered and it was amazing!! The Brisket was the best I've ever had. Definitely will visit if in in the area again!“
“This is by far my favorite for both hot pot and kbbq! I go here every few weeks and I take all my friends and out of town visitors here to show them the best kbbq and hotpot experience. Lots of selection for veggies, seafood, and meats. Everything is always fresh and flavorful and the service is always excellent and quick!“
“An authentic experience with mouthwatering selections from turkey to brisket to flavorful brisket quesadillas my number one spot to have bbq here in oak cliff . The team brings an experience like no other making it welcoming and delightful to come back . I recommend bringing an empty stomach to try everything on the menu please also try the famous burgers they serve throughout the week .“
“This Place is a Hidden Gem ? in the South Dallas community. I’m a FOODOE BIG TIME. This place is clean the environment is friendly. The prices are respectable and reasonable the staff is pleasant and kind and respectful they smile and are glad u are in their establishment. The food is flavorful not bland it’s made with love and cooked to utter perfection the deserts are delectable and delicious. The servings are neatly and graciously prepared . This place has my business hands down . Do your self a favor. You can Thank me Later . ✌? ✊?Parking: The parking space it small but you Can park . The food is amazing so don’t mind the parking it’s a take out place you won’t be there long . Unless u get into an enchanting great conversation with one of the kind employees who work .. There. lol ?“
“My wife and I went here for our 9th year anniversary. At first we was skeptical that the food was t going to be enough for the price that we were paying, but oddly enough it was. We were very full and the food was good. I just wish we had the option to change out the Edamame for something else like broccoli or whatever else they had. Those beans was not good at all and I wouldn't recommend them. Also we wasn't offered anything for our anniversary. I think that was important to. All in all for us it was a one time experience, and it wasn't a really bad experience but we will not be returning to this restaurant.“
“It’s 2024. This my first time here. I won’t be my last. Rib sandwich was so good, I forgot there was barbecue sauce in the bag. Dip one of the ribs in the sauce. I didn’t even need it. Order with a side of potato salad. I was not disappointed at all.Parking: I personally parked directly in the front. You can park in the lot the building seats on or across the street. For free“
“We had a large family lunch with over 20 on a Friday in their private room. Mngr Bryce treated us well, thank you ?. The brisket, ribs, chicken & pulled pork was very good, lots of flavor. The portions were large and not greasy or fatty. The meat was excellent. The best fried okra, fresh baked hot rolls and peach tea ever. Location on Wheatland Rd & plenty of parking.“
“I ordered take out from this place for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! We got the BBQ chicken & beef (#5) and the spicy chicken & katsu (#3) lunch combos for around $20.The portions were great, and the food was very good. Ordering online was easy and there were no extra fees. Don’t forget the sauces in the corner, the manager pointed them out to me before I left!“
“Stopped in with my nephews on a Sunday afternoon. Sadly they don't do beef ribs on Sundays and they were sold out of pork chops so we didn't get to try either. They only had lean brisket which is not my favorite, but got the thumbs up from us. Fried chicken was surprisingly good - a little on the greasy side but eating it hot was perfect. Pork ribs were the star for us for sure. Great flavor, really tender. They have a green sauce on their sauce bar which was INCREDIBLE. It's like an herby, tangy, mayo type of thing - 10/10 definitely recommend. They do not do combination plates and you must order by weight. 1/4 lb is about one serving.“
“I have driven by Sammy’s for years and never took the time to stop in. My son is now living in the apartments across the street and we finally stopped in for lunch today. It was amazing BBQ, we had bit of everything. All meats and sides were great.“
“It's a lil hole in the wall (Gem) ? The Family stopped in for a bite to eat. Honey and family friendly. Food and portions were adequate. I ordered the beef brisket & rib meal. Very good ? The service was top notch and waitress were very attentive. Coming back to Texas, I/We will be back.“
“Ok. Usually I have to eat someplace a few times before giving a authentic and honest review. This place is awesome. The simplicity and taste of food is great. Tacos are loaded. Do the corn tortilla taste better. Salsa is finger licking good then there is breakfast. 6 dollars and you are satisfied. Give it chance. It's a straight forward menu. And if is your first time. Ask a veteran customer there is usually someone there or the cashier. They will not guide you wrong. Enjoy!“
“Abi gave me the best service I've ever had! Seriously check this place out the food I amazing and I've had a lot of Japanese BBQ. Take my word for it the vibes the atmosphere and the wagyu omg the wagyu! So good!!!Vegetarian options: Mushrooms, peppers, soups, dumplings, etc.Parking: Easy street parking and behind the buildingKid-friendliness: Family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility ♿️“
“The Happy Hour is cool. They need more staff bc our waitress was irritated and it showed. The food runner literally told a customer he was busy as we were leaving. The change of shift the servers were fresh and more attentive for the evening shift. The loaded fries and wings are fire.“
“I’m always been weary of restaurants with the name “New York” in them, as they usually turn out not to be very much like NY at all. I finally gave in when a tempting deal popped up on a food app. NY Sub exceeded my expectations in every way - the flavor was exceptional and the portion of meat was generous. My husband (a New Yorker himself) said, “There is NO reason these subs should be this good.” ? The atmosphere leaned more toward Chicago but it still worked. The fairly youthful staff impressed us with their friendliness and professionalism, a rare find in many eateries. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, arcade games, picnic tables outside“
“Go here!We were in Dallas for the eclipse and decided to enjoy some BBQ. We spent a fair amount of time researching our options and chose Hump's BBQ because of the reviews.Hump's exceeded our expectations. We had an LB of pulled pork and the 3 meat plate with ribs, brisket, link with the side of mac 'n cheese and potato salad. The meats were all perfectly cooked and tender and the BBQ flavour was absorbed deeply so that each bite had that lovely wood smoked taste. Suprisingly, our favourite item was the link and we could easily have said yes to another portion. The Banana pudding was creamy and flavourful and will make a convert of anyone. We loved that there were 2 small benches in front where we could eat our meal while fresh and after chatting to people coming and going, we can confidently say that the place is busy with regulars as well as a good few first timers who were there because local friends and family had recommended the spot. This is a friendly place with amazing food.I am dreaming of relocating so that I can be closer to Hump's and know that it will be one of life's favourite food memories.Thank you!“
“The best atmosphere for a BBQ place! Very friendly and efficient service. The whole restaurant was very clean. Only $15 for a chopped brisket sandwich with two sides. The chopped brisket was good! It is pre-sauced though. The okra is great and in a large serving! I really liked the coleslaw as well. The spicy sauce is great but I'm not a fan of Carolina style so I didn't give that one a try. Easy to get to location off Inwood with a good sized parking lot. I recommend you try this place if you're looking for a local BBQ lunch.“
“This is my first time here. Great place for wings and fried rice!Friendly and quick service. Food is served hot and fresh. I got 12 pieces of bone in wings, half lemon pepper, and mild (not spicy at all) with chicken fried rice. They don't have a lot of business dine in when I was here, mostly to go or call in. If you want to try a different place for wings and other offerings, this is the place. I also heard a lot of people order catfish. When I come back to Dallas, I will be stopping by again.“
“This place was great! Delicious food and friendly service. The bbq was amazing and lots of unique sides I’ve never seen before. Lots of meat choices to choose from. The bbq sauce was delicious and it’s no wonder they sell it! I got a chopped brisket sandwich plate. The bun was unique too. It’s located right by UT Southwestern hospital. Mike the owner greets you and takes your order, prepares your meat and makes small talk. I really enjoyed the small town hospitality. You definitely won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to get the cobbler for dessert. It’s fantastic and I couldn’t stop eating it. Mike shared a few ingredients he uses for it. Mmm ?Vegetarian options: Salads and plenty of vegetable optionsDietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian optionsParking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Family friendly“
“No frills, you order at a kiosk, get your number, and choose a seat. The bowls are so good and I love how you can customize your toppings with so many choices. My wife loves the burning hot stone bowl, where the rice is a crispy layer at the bottom - it’s good, but it takes so long for the rice to cool down to eat!!“
“Over all very good, but I find it very insulting and insensitive during a record heat wave to leave bottled water in the room with a price tag of $5 a bottle, really really need to rethink this practice!! Besides this the hotel was very good!!“
“Ordered takeout here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. They have redone their menu so some of the things listed here on yelp may not be on their menu. No Miso soup or any soup I was told but we had Bibimbap and Bulgogi bowl and it was delicious. If ordering to take home make sure you get sauces for your food.“
“Food was good, could have been better, my food was not warm. I went on My lunch break around 1pm ish, the guy was nice, but my cabbage was completely cold the sausage links I got were definitely old, the color was even off, it there was more barbecue sauce I wouldn't have seen the discoloration. Food was good but I may or may not try them again. I don't like cold food.“
“Was in Dallas and had to stop by and get some BBQ. Came here for an early dinner and it was not too crowded. The line moved fast. I ordered a 1/4 pound of turkey, ribs, and brisket. They all had great flavor and delicious. I also had to try the peach cobbler and I was not disappointed. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be stopping by.“
