“My mom Jan Gore was(rip) a huge supporter of Jimmy's for decades. Our restaurant and booth at the State Fair used a lot of their products. A few weeks before she passed my gf and I came for turkey sandwiches and were bumped repeatedly (black) while white patrons got their food. Jimmy was too busy to respond. After close to an hour, with over 15 other orders served before us they said our ticket was misplaced. When we got our order we left and had to double back..it was incorrect.Sad this day and age we live in..So, fast forward a few months later..Talked to the BROTHER who is the main chef in the hot and prepared food in the rear. He instantly asked what I needed when he saw me and made my turkey sandwich on the spot and it was as wonderful as the first time I went there over 30 yrs ago..Ty you!And Jimmy too. Tell them Xavier sent you.. enjoy!”

This is one of the rare times I ate an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, and completely finished it without taking any leftovers, it was that good. My server was Elena and she was purely lovely. Knowledgeable, friendly, and great attention to detail. Definitely coming back, enjoy the photos. Slight kick from the Sriracha Aioli! And very thankful for the greens to balance it out!Variety of drinks to choose from but very thankful for the mocktails! I had the Hibiscus No-Jito! The zing from the ginger beer, with a sweet and sour after taste from the Hibiscus and the lingering mint to finish it off! “Went to dinner at 7:15 and it was LOUD, which is saying something for a Monday. The food was very good. We had the wagyu short rib with the potatoes and the octopus to start. I had a spicy ginger to drink which was also excellent.The only low point was dessert - the goat cheese cheesecake was more science project than after dinner delight, but Jordan was great about it and treated us great the whole night.Overall, it was a great date night.”

“What a special way to celebrate the total solar eclipse and our daughter's tenth birthday! The steaks were delicious, the cocktails scrumptious, and the service excellent, truly, from every staff member. The valets graciously set up extra patio umbrellas to keep us all in the shade beforehand. “It is underground. It tricked my apple map. We took elevator to get down. Fantastic atmosphere! If you choose outside, you see the water fall . I got a seat inside with my son . It is a high end place but if you order regular food , it is surprisingly reasonably priced . Taste wise is good . I love the atmosphere ”

“Dinner was delicious. We had the short rib pasta and the bolognese (our favorite). Bread pudding desert was a great finale. They have live piano music on Fri and Sat. Paco, our server, was friendly and excellent so you will be in good company if you get him. Restaurant is decorated nicely and tables were spaced appropriately. “Came here on a Tuesday around 5:30PM. Place is very nice and on the corner. Has valet. Traffic is pretty rough around that time. So I would suggest coming here after 7PM on weekdays. Not sure if their a dress code but I would suggest business casual or higher.The vibe inside is preppy. The service and waitstaff were terrific. The drinks were amazing. I do recommend the martini's. The tuna was fresh and tasty. I had the Beef wellingtons and wow. It did not disappoint. Tho if they removed mushrooms from it, I would give it a 10/10. Just not a mushroom person. Will def be back again.”

“Smithy on Henderson is wonderful!!!! Had an amazing brunch - I highly recommend the Farmers Omelette! My one recommendation is to have them put the tater tots on the side instead of inside the omelette - the tater tots are so good you want to appreciate them on their own!!!! Overall, it was a wonderful Saturday afternoon dining experience!”

They are opening a rooftop patio soon! We got a personal tour. It's going to be awesome! A lot of the photos/paintings have personal meaning to the owner/head chef. I enjoyed seeing her love of food and her love of family and how they both found a home at Via Triozzi!”

Our waiter was from SCAL, but moved to Texas 10 years ago; he was so friendly and helpful, even joked around with our table often. Please listen to their suggestion, you can't go wrong.”

“Trendy fish place with decent offerings. Dropped in as an alternative to Montlake - our go to seafood spot - and found it packed early on a Thursday afternoon. Seated at the bar after a short wait. The seafood was good but we preferred Montlake for selection. The scene was happening though so that is a plus. Just be sure to make reservations.”

I really enjoyed the escargot, plenty of flavor. ? 8/10The Knox burger was really good as well. I was a smidge salty they don’t carry ranch, but overall the burger was great. 8/10Shortcake: 6/10I can’t remember the name of the chocolate dessert we had but it was delicious! ? 9/10I will add, they did have valet behind the building but given the lack of parking in the area I would’ve appreciated complimentary valet. However, that’s my only gripe. I would return.Parking: Valet is directly behind the building. It is not validated and it’s $11.”

“My friend and I have always wanted to try Uchi. Oddly enough, we have uchi locations in our hometowns in AZ and CA. We came here on vacation and had some of the best service, food, and experiences of our lives. Bronson and Autumn serviced us and really made our whole experience. Their knowledge on each dish, the presentation, and background was unparalleled to anything I’ve ever had. We chose the chef’s selection for food and gave them our price range. Never have I had 10+ amazing dishes served with such purpose and presentation by Bronson. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and asking for Bronson to serve you. Autumn is in training but she was so kind and brought us her favorite dish! Love them both and LOVE the food at Uchi.”

“I ordered the 10 Trompo Tacos for $16.99 with no onions. My order was ready fairly quickly and the tacos were still hot despite me making a couple stops on the way home. Served in fresh corn tortillas, there was plenty of meat sliced off the rotisserie and not overly greasy. Accompanied with limes, radish, pineapple, hot peppers and both Roja and Verde sauces, there were a lot of great flavors and seasonings to be had. Service was friendly. Will definitely be back as they are open 24 hours.”

I didn’t use the app that they recommended but paid with the kiosk. I think the salad was good, and I felt like I had something healthy to eat rather than fast food burger or fried chicken. They have plates and utensils available as well or you can eat out of jar.”

“The doorway can become congested because everybody wants to stop and look at the bakery case, but once you’re up, you will be cheerfully greeted and your selections put on a tray to be packed to go or plated for your dining experience.The canned coffees and kombuchas are from locally owned companies and are delicious.It’s in a strip shopping t center but don’t be put off by the surroundings. There’s plenty of free parking.”

“Pricey, downtown Dallas eating! Paid to park and had to walk a bit to get to this restaurant at 3pm on a Friday. Restaurant was not busy, so once we ordered at the food bar, the food was ready fairly quickly. Alcoholic beverages (wine & beer) served at a separate bar within the restaurant. You pretty much wait on yourself here, receive a number for food pick up when ready. Ordered the 'Hot Mess' which is a sweet potato stuffed with brisket & barbacoa and drizzled with sauces ($14.00) and hubs had BBQ combo of ribs & brisket ($21.00). All tasted great, even though pricey---I know ALL bbq establishments are pricey these days. Wine was $10/glass.”

“Sausage is a must! Their sausage is better than Hutchin's in McKinney, and Soulman's in Allen. Finally our 1st Beef Ribs in Dallas!! In the past 5 days, all 4 places we've tried were sold out during the Eclipse Weekend. I'm not sure if that's good or not?Beef ribs was delicious! But I'm expecting all beef ribs to be tasty because of the amount of fat in it. It was not all fat.. .which is more than I can say for CA San Diego's Phil's Bbq.Brisket was lean and a bit tough for me. For those who like leaner brisket, this place is still better than the lean version at Soulmans in Allen area. But I loved brisket best at Pecan Lodge.We tried 5bbq places during our visit, below in order:- Rudy's in Allen: Brisket was a bit fatty but had a very smokey taste.- Soulmans in Allen: Chicken and Links are good. We didn't get to try chicken at other places.- Hutchin's in McKinney: Fried okra was really good. Pecan Lodge was spectacular though. Hutchin's only had brisket, brisket links and sausages. Their sampling of Turkey and chicken were great but we didn't get to try more than that. Only the fried okra was good.- (#1 Fav) Pecan Lodge is both our #1 favorite place. Brisket, fried okra was just wow! Turkey was really really good too but it's the only full dish turkey we've eaten. Overall everything was great! Whereas many places had maybe only 1 item that was good, until we tried better.- (#2 Fav) Terry Blacks in downtown would be our number #2 fav place: The 1st place to actually have Beef Ribs available. So we couldn't compare the beef ribs to other places. It was delicious, a bit fatty, and stayed super soft even after reheats. The sausage was just as good as Pecan Lodge.Our first ever Texas bbq. And its been in Dallas. Everything was decent to incredible even for someone who's an extremely picky plant-based type of meat eater, and SO who likes to bbq and smoke food.”

Our party of 7 got a variety of plates, ranging from the Tomahawk Steak to most all appetizers. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was great! Some of our favorite dishes were the Mac and cheese, quail medallions, pork belly, and oysters. Corn bisque highly recommended! The elk tenderloins were not gamey at all and melted in your mouth. I fully attest to that. The staff is amazing. The ambiance is very very fancy (if that is your thing). I ate in a white t shirt and didn't get kicked out so that was nice. For food I had the 10oz fillet mignon and a couple bourbons. The steak was really good, no complaints. The bread the bring you is enough to make Oprah blush. Holy cow, a whole loaf practically!The place is wonderful, everything you'd expect from an upscale steakhouse. 10oz fillet was $65 and the ambiance, staff and quality of beef made it worth it. The drinks were actually on the generous side.”

I'd like to go back as they have Happy Hour 3-6 Monday - Friday. I'll update based on that and provide insight.”
