“Ok, for someone who grew up (literally) in a Pub - this place isn't quite a pub. It's a dang fine bar and has good food. Texas is its own thing anyways, so you always have to factor that into your visit - but this place sits right on a row of other fabulous spots. This one had the best bar selection and vibe to be sure, so we stayed here the longest. And the staff is incredibly easy to look at . . . . but you didn't hear that from me. : )“

“Poor David's is a longtime Dallas venue for live music that has been housed in various locations over the years. Check their website calendar for scheduled musicians. No food service, but you can bring in outside food. Don't expect fancy cocktails here as most patrons favor beer, but I have gotten a serviceable Old Fashioned.“

“We’ve been here 4x’s and I have only had the meatloaf, which is really good! My hubby had the blue bull burger and gave it a 3.5 out of 5. He’s had comfort bowl, which he loved, but didn’t compare to meatloaf. Hole in the wall bar with a shockingly great kitchen. A dark locals’ bar in Lakewood. Fun jukebox too! Recommend highly!“

“Went here for the first time today. Will be back and will be asking to sit in section. Food was good, definitely get wings. Atmosphere was good as well. We were seated quickly and was amazing. She was attentive despite the chaos with the game. She also did something that has become a lost art in the food service lately, she checked on me after I received my meal. I've got to say that this will not be my last time dinning there. Sit in section folks, you won't regret it!“

“I want to say the bartenders last night were Joe and MJ......I hope I got that right. I wanted to say thank you for being so upbeat and nice even though I walked in 20 minutes before closing at 2am. “Came here for the first time on a Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. Mimosas - Standard mimosa. No strange aftertaste. Decent strength in alcohol content. Huevos Rancheros - Eggs were cooked perfectly - nice & runny yolk with whites cooked thoroughly. Tostadas were very crispy, but slightly overcooked & a touch burnt. Served with refried black beans spread over the tostadas, a generous, spread of salsa, and cotija cheese. Served with a side of rancheros sauce which tasted like salsa verde. Brunch potatoes - Lightly salted. Cooked nicely - crispy on the outside & soft, fluffy, & tender on the inside. Doesn’t get soggy despite sitting on top of salsa. Would have liked more seasoning, but still good. Brunch Burger - Like biscuits & gravy, but on a burger. Flavor is good - very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Habanero Margarita - actually uses a pretty good reposado tequila - Mi Compo. Very smooth & slightly spicy. Hot Mexican Chili Arbol Wings to go - Came with a hand sanitizing wipe. Medium crispy on the outside. Good flavor. Overall, we had a very nice experience. We sat at the bar, and our bartender, Kinsley, was very nice, personable, & very knowledgeable of menu despite only being here for a month. They also have a happy hour between 4-7 PM, so I’d like to try out their happy hour. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

“Simple sports bar with good food and the price is unmatched for Downtown Dallas average cost. A hidden gem. Staff are entertaining & not uptight. Only issue would be the occasional homeless person walking in with an attitude or moody behaviors.“

“We just had the most wonderful experience at Hillside Tavern. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was chill enough that we were able to bring our 11-year-old niece to eat with us. The service was top notch. Chad and his team are doing an incredible job and we’ll be back very soon to try out the rest of that awesome menu!“

“Celebrating Life with the family. We danced until our feet hurt. We have over 6 April Birthdays in the family. The waitress was attentive, the restrooms were clean the entire night, regardless of the high traffic. The music was good but it's been better. Not sure why the DJ wasn't the same. However.... If it ain't broke don't fix it and if it don't fit, don't force it.“

The goal cheese salad is overpriced, but its still yummy.“

“Located in the back of the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater. Its a very nice spot to chill before or after a movie, watch TV, and play a little pinball. It's usually quiet, but can get busy after people come out of a movie. There's an excellent selection of drinks and food. I recommend the fried pickles. Marina and Chris are awesome! I love chatting with them. They'll also put anything on the TV for you.“

“This is the former Gomonae restaurant - it's a small family run Korean restaurant with delicious soups and banchans. Gomonae moved out of their smaller location in the same strip mall to this spot which is larger and has a liquor license. Same delicious food. Yukgejang is very nice. No more fried chicken though. Service is so friendly too. Loved the purple rice. They are open in the morning until maybe 7 or 8pm I believe - not quite sure about dinner hours so double check.“

“My husband was here for an armwrestling event and when the transactions didn’t match up with what he authorized I gave them a call. The manager and woman who looked into this were great but the waitress that added her own gratuity to a less than 30$ single person check should be ashamed of herself. Unfortunately I’ve come to hear this from others about people tipping themselves so just a fair warning to check your bill before paying for anything.“

“Fish and chips!! That is what it was on my mind and wasn't quite sure of where to go. I was in the Harry Hines area and took a quick glance of Sports City and noticed it was empty (12 pm ona Friday) and say JACKPOT! Establishment had me and another customer. Bartender seem to knew the customer but some attention was given towards me I ask for the fish and chips and a beer. Beer came right-o-way and fish chips took a minute, i glance around and gave me similar vibes to another mexican sports bar. When food came it was HOT! temperatures wise, and fish and ships where pretty genetic, tartar sauce and fries with ketchup.“
