“We have been to this location many times for brunch. On this visit, some of the meat selections were not as good, they were not well seasoned and had more fat than usual, and medium rare was not available for beef cuts. I love filet but it had no flavor. The spicy picanha was too spicy. The service was also mediocre this time even though the restaurant was not full; they did not bring our drink order until I asked a second time. The meat service was good, they came around often though but I had to wait until the end of my meal to get a lamb chop because they were not ready. They did ask if there was a certain cut of meat we wanted. It may just have been an "off" day. We recently visited a Brazilian restaurant in Austin and it is better, so maybe our expectations have changed.“

The baristas/ staff were SO sweet and helpful first and foremost, which I have to highlight because I feel like that is missing in a lot of Dallas coffee these days. I tried the Go bananas! Which was a banana rum cold foam nitro cold brew. Soooooooooo good. I’ll be dreaming of it until next time. We also got the chilaquiles, tres leches French toast, and cowboy sando. “We used Blue Mesa as our wedding caterer and it was one of the easiest decisions out of the whole planning experience. Karen was so friendly and accommodating during our tasting. The hardest part was narrowing down our options because it was all so delicious! We chose to do carving stations with the tenderloin and stuffed chicken. At the last minute I added the queso because it’s literally out of this world amazing. People RAVED about the food, said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. They even prepared plates for our vegetarian guests. For the service we got, I feel like the price was incredibly reasonable. They also helped with our cake cutting and did a good job. Their team was a well-oiled machine. Highly highly recommend!“

“Nonna! My love. There was nothing bad here, nothing mid, all superb!! How do I begin to explain how delicious everything was?! Their house bread was salted, soft and immediately made us think of how delicious the pizza dough and crust would be. And of course that was the case. We went with the spicy sausage pizza and it was so good I nearly licked the pizza tray but I was with three other people and was not trying to look crazy. Their squash carpaccio was really good for squash. For pastas we tried Lasagnette al Forno, Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, and Farfalle Marrone. I’m a picky eater but the mushroom one was the best in my opinion, tonnarelli next and then the lasagna. I’m not a huge tomato sauce person but lasagna was tasty. Now the dessert!! Their pistachio semifreddo was the best possible was to end the night. There was not a flaw in that dessert. I’d go back just for that. Their strawberry shortcake was good and then lemon raspberry last. I’m not a huge tart person but not bad on the lemon raspberry.

“I don’t go out much anymore, so it could be pretty standard at bars these days, but there is a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. There might be a sign posted somewhere but I didn’t see it. I find it annoying and would rather they just increase the prices. Otherwise, it’s a nice atmosphere.“
