We came with family who were visiting from New Jersey and they were blown away. Everything we had was sublime: Vietnamese rice cake, squash blossom tempura, stuffed leeks, branzino, kimchi and fried gras dumplings, shaking beef, garlic noodles, dirty rice, and pannacotta for dessert. Not sure why this restaurant doesn't already have a Michelin Star. We eat out a lot and we haven't had a better dinner in DFW.“

Our server, Raoul, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make it a special evening--from a card signed by the staff to a birthday candle + complimentary night cap, we truly felt honored and celebrated. Cocktails were excellent and there were so many delicious-looking dishes on the menu it was hard to choose! We landed on the rabbit pappardelle and a duck leg special, both of which were cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. The best way I’d describe it is “home cooked.” The owner is this nice Persian gentleman, who will make you feel like home, take your order and bring out the food almost immediately. I really enjoyed the lamb shank, the meat was tender and falling off the bone.

Note that you have to park in the fenced out parking lot, look for signs that mark “Samad Cafe parking” that are hanging on the fence. It took me a couple of spins around the block to figure it out, but it was well worth it.“
