“My friend and I have always wanted to try Uchi. Oddly enough, we have uchi locations in our hometowns in AZ and CA. We came here on vacation and had some of the best service, food, and experiences of our lives. Bronson and Autumn serviced us and really made our whole experience. Their knowledge on each dish, the presentation, and background was unparalleled to anything I’ve ever had. We chose the chef’s selection for food and gave them our price range. Never have I had 10+ amazing dishes served with such purpose and presentation by Bronson. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and asking for Bronson to serve you. Autumn is in training but she was so kind and brought us her favorite dish! Love them both and LOVE the food at Uchi.“
“Only sushi spot open later than your moms house (ooooooooooooo) great sushi, people are really nice. I wouldn't say go here as your first option for sushi, but definitely try it out if you're craving some and you're just in the area. Opened pretty new so everything's nice and shiny. Overall a good spot, not the best but definitely does the job.“
“Truly great omokase experience. Presentation and atmosphere of the dining area and lobby are pristine. You feel the focus is on the chef as he prepares your food. The sushi rice is some of the best I've ever had as well as the entire menu selection for the night. Would highly recommend as a go to sushi spot for a special occasion.“
“The service is top notch from the moment you walk in the door! We were greeted with a warm welcome including a choice between sake and sparkling wine while we mingled and awaited our seating. The food repeatedly left me speechless and, combined with the service, is WELL worth the already reasonable price. The owner himself along with his additional chefs and wait staff were happy to chat with throughout our meal truly making it feel as if you’re dining with friends. This is the best sushi I have had outside of Japan and I already can’t wait to go back! 10/10 would recommend!“
“It felt like a very authentic Japanese experience. I found the Sushi and Sashimi to be top notch. The lamb chops were quite juicy. Service was attentive and the ambience was, as expected, minimalist. It could be made better if the menus were easier to read. I found the font size for the descriptions to be too small. Also, the acoustics in the restaurant made for a loud experience. It can get very loud with just a few tables being served. I would definitely go there again.“
“I can't even put into words how AMAZING this sushi spot is!! Everything is so unbelievably fresh. The tuna literally melted in my mouth. I've been to a ton of high end sushi spots and it's the exact same quality!! 1000/10 will always recommend this spot to anyone“
“Super cute patio seating area! Along with great service, amazing sushi selection, high quality, fresh, and very tasteful! Did the $75 lunch tasting, and everything was perfectly curated. My favorite was the Katsuo sashimi. My server said something about that they pickle their own ginger, and ginger was so so good! 10/10 would recommend!“
“Casual elegance in a relaxed, uncrowded setting of about 18 seats. A diverse selection of nigiri and sushi and hand rolls. Items are ordered and prepared individually, making the dining pace just right. The hamachili, a wonderful pairing of yellowtail, pear and ponzu is beautifully presented with just the right amount of spice. The salmon belly melts in your mouth. Will be returning soon!“
“Our daughter and grandson's favorite sushi restaurant, our first visit with them ....will definitely be back !!!Vegetarian options: Honestly did not look for only vegetarian food, but had veggie fried rice and miso soup which were delicious !!“
“Food and service was excellent. Popped into this spot having no idea. Exceeded expectations. This was the best and freshest sushi I've had in Dallas. I haven't had sushi this delicious since visiting Japan. Yes, it is not the least expensive spot, but you are paying for quality. So just know it's a pricey dinner before going to manage expectations.“
“I came in for Happy Hour on a Friday. They have a great Happy Hour from to 7. Many different items under $11. The place was mostly empty, service was fast. Food was good, I liked everything except for the Spicy Salmon Roll. Would definitely recommend and return.“
“My family had recommended this place and I'm sure glad they did. The food was Delicious. The presentation was out of this world! I would definitely recommend the Toffee ice cream desert. The atmosphere is nice. There are a lot of regulars that come here. They all talk to each other and the workers as if they were one family. I even took sake shots with the customer sitting next to me at the sushi bar. Mark the Chef, did stunning work on preparing the sushi. Patrick the server, was quick to respond. He was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking to him. After my visit, I'd say this is top 3 on my list of best gourmet sushi that I have visited! Can't Wait for my next visit!“
“Top notch! I came in at 3:30pm during a weekday so if it's that fresh during those dead hours I would think it's just as good during peak hours. This is some really good sushi! Very fresh salmon sashimi, the woman at the counter is very sweet and attentive, and I've felt some real VIP experience eating there. 14 bucks well spent I believe!Vegetarian options: Vegan cream cheese when indicatedParking: Restaurant parking is clearly labeled for the restaurant.“
“Absolutely love this place! I've been coming for past few years. The freshness, variety, tastiness and quality is amazing! Mr. Kenneth is the nicest person!! Always genuinely happy to see me and catch up.The pic is of The Louisiana tempura roll and The Cajun tempura roll. It was my 1st time trying them. Delicious!“
“One of my favorite sushi places in Dallas. I usually go in, sit with my favorite server, and ask him to put together whatever he recommends with no limitations, and it never disappoints! The food is great; the yuzu sake is one of my favorites, and the desserts are not something to pass up.I’m typically underwhelmed by dessert options at restaurants, but at Uchibā, I always make room for some treats.Trust your server, describe what you like and don’t like, and let them take care of you!Vegetarian options: They have separate menu with vegetarian options. Ask your server“
“I had the following rolls and all of them hit the spot! Tornado, Dragon, Sweet Little Prince, and Firecracker rolls. If you like spicy and fried rolls go for the Tornado. So many different choices of rolls and the presentation was great for each. Also the outdoor patio was enjoyable ?“
“The atmosphere here is pretty nice. There’s some outdoor seating which is lovely most of the year. The sushi itself was very good. Not the best sushi I ever had, but definitely tasty and there are tons of options. Crab rangoons were also tasty. Underrated dish here is the ceviche (Didn’t even expect to see that on the menu at a sushi spot). Overall, this place is really solid and I definitely will be coming back“
“Everything was so perfect! I spent my night here to celebrate my birthday. The food is deliciously fresh, the chef was so nice and made me a special sake drink for my birthday which i love so much. What a great experience and worth the price.“
“Sushi was more rice forward than I was expecting, but everything was mostly awesome (sans cauliflower, that was so-so). Hopefully they add more fish to the sushi in the futureI really enjoy the vibe and decor they went with. Definitely coming backThe ribs and lobster dumplings stole the show“
“Love this spot! never disappoints - have been coming here for over 10+ years and still love it to this day.Always try their specials and off the menu options, otherwise you're missing out.Parking: During dinner service, it's hard to find parking. Recommend getting there with plenty of time“
“Great place to have delicious sushi. Came here alone and the server whom I believe was the owner or manager was the one who served me. He was very nice and attentive. The food was great and prices very reasonable. great calm atmosphere. I will for sure come back here if I ever visit “
“Charlie, Max, Sebastian, Jimmy, and Jonathan were all incredible stewards of our delightful omakase meal tonight. My husband and I have eaten sushi all across the US and in London and the quality of fish and service at Nori Handroll Bar rivals or tops them all. The Omakase was *incredible* and I sooo highly recommend it. You won't regret the delightful experience! We'll plan to come back whenever we are in Dallas again!“
“klass hand roll bar food is exquisite, packed with flavor and freshly made. the service is very good!! Our chef explained thoroughly what we were ordering and we enjoyed his help. I believe that this place is a place you should add to list to come to “
“Food was excellent and service was initially good. Me and another couple were the only ones in the restaurant and after receiving my appetizer and drink my server disappeared and I wasn’t checked on again. I had to go to the bar to just cash out. I left and went somewhere else which makes me sad because the food was amazing.“
“If I lived closer I would be here several times a week! Such a hidden gem!! This is hands down one of my favorite sushi places in DFW and I have been to many. The fish is always fresh the ambience is laid back and the selection is vast. They are always consistently so good!“
“I don’t know where to start. The theme of the whole experience was “Addictive”.3 diverse food items, each of them sparked when I took a bite. That tuna tower looks heavenly, tastes even better. After the first bite we devoured it. The Tom Kha was flavorful. The crispy pad Thai was so unique.“
“Fresh fish daily. Aged beef and tuna. The staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.Great selection of wine and sake.If you have time, ask for the omakasi you will not be disappointed. If you enjoy it, be sure to buy a drink for chef!“
“When i visited Dallas, i stopped by here for a quick lunch. Everyone was friendly and most importantly, the food was the best part. I did not expect a good sushi at a place so far from the sea, but it was a pleasant surprise. I would visit again.“
“This is by far my favorite place for sushi. My favs are the spicy edamame, yellowtail heaven, and panic roll. The what a roll is great too. They have beer wine and sake. I always drink wine and it is always so good. The service is amazing and the quality is superb. Hidden gem!“
“My family and I have been dining here for over 18 years. The food is the real deal and made with love and care. Everything is fresh authentic and good. The owners , Mr Paul and Mrs Lisa are great people and will take good care of you. Do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed.“
“This is a little hidden gem in Dallas with some of the most delicious all-you-can-eat sushi I ever had! The menu is extensive with so many varied and unique rolls to try. The servers are very nice, attentive and helpful. The chefs are fast and professional. I will definitely come back. If you like to eat a LOT like I do the $45 for AYCE is WELL worth it.ETA: been here twice in the past 2 months and it is one of my favorite AYCE places in Dallas!“
“Come for the sushi and stay for the poke.. Such a wonderful experience on my visit to Ginza. I will be coming back on future visits to the area.I ordered a Dallas roll and some poke.. the roll itself was wrapped with a healthy portion of Tuna that was notable. The poke was build your own and I did just that. Designed it to my desires!! Perfect!Definitely will be back.. ?“
“The food was good enough that I'll be back. I was disappointed that the shrimp shumai was deep fried, but the mitsi soup was extremely flavorful and my wife said the sushi was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We would happily return.“
“Had an amazing dinner at this place today! The staff made me feel incredibly welcome right off the bat, setting the stage for a fantastic meal. I went for the crispy beef, and it did not disappoint—crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and just packed with flavor. It's clear they know what they're doing with Asian cuisine. In short, great vibes, amazing food, and I'm definitely coming back for more.“
“Loved our experience at Sushi Bar! I loved the intimate dining experience and I was very pleasantly surprised at the freshness, quality and the flavor of each and every one of the nigiri pieces! Moving back to Dallas from Seattle, I've been craving good sushi and omakase experience and Sushi Bar definitely has been my favorite omakase in the DFW area! Service was so great as well, felt very intimate and the sushi chefs did such an amazing job of explaining every piece. It's also connected to a cute cocktail bar so you can grab some drinks before or after your meal! I highly recommend making your reservation here and trying this place out! Can't wait to go back again!“
“Unassuming sushi place but excellent food with a very extensive menu. They really do specialize in terms of sushi rolls and hence the name of the restaurant I guess. But it's not just rolls. They have a pretty good menu of other Japanese dishes as well. I really liked their miso soup. The Salmon poke bowl was average.“
“The only two things that I have tried from Sushi House is their Volcano Roll & Miso Soup and it's absolute heaven on earth I've only ever gotten take out & it's always been on point never tastes different. The service is always good someone always there to help and no one is ever rude. As far as the location itself is rather tiny in there and seems like a cute date night or lunch date. I will continue to return to this spot to get their Volcano Rolls any chance I get.“
“Shinsei made our large group dinner party an amazing experience! The food was perfect and so delicious, and the service was over the top incredible. Janet was an absolute dream to work with to make the large group a possibility. I cannot wait to go back for dinner and I look forward to hosting another large dinner party with Shinsei! Highly highly recommend!“
“It was pretty busy and I chose to sit outside. Had the whole patio to myself and it was a little bit chilly. The staff was attentive; came to check on me, turned on the heater, and said if decided to go inside to let them know.Food and drinks came out pretty fast.“
“Just tried my first Bahn Mi and I'm wondering what took me so long! Nice little restaurant with indoor seating and a covered little patio type of area. I had the pork Bahn Mi and it was so fresh tasting and delicious. I seriously want to eat another one right now. This place will definitely be a regular stop from now on.Parking: Easy in and out parking.“
“Came here with my friend for lunch on a Saturday. Glad we had a reservation since the place was packed. We had great service from Artasia. I didn’t know what to order and she gave me some recommendations. I ended up having the rainbow roll and a side salad. My friend had the salmon and said it was good.“
“Generous portions and tasty poké! A good reliable spot for me. It's typically quite fresh and everything tastes great. The boba tea is only so-so here, but the main attraction is the poké so it's fine. It's roughly $13-16 for a very filled bowl of food. Nothing tastes bland. I always enjoy getting the Salmon Crunch bowl. A perfect balance of fish and veggies!“
“Had an amazing first experience here. Our waiter Sohl was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We had three different dishes but the honeymoons was my favorite dish. I could literally eat it everyday. You can tell everything is fresh too. I’ll definitely be back again.“
“Nice service, good environment, and delicious food! This is the tastiest Japanese restaurant I've experienced throughout the entire DFW region. The music here is wonderful, and you get to watch the sushi chefs in action. I'll surely visit again.“
“Great place. You might think not because of the area. For me though. Some of the best sushi ? I have had in the Dallas area. And I’ve eaten a lot of sushi all over the metroplex. Go here. It’s not huge, very intimate, great date place. Even have kids games if they are old enough to chill. Quiet place. It’s a GEM that is are to find and I hope you do.“
“Server was very clearly new, or very inexperienced. No plates, no silverware, pretty bad service overall, had to ask or constantly remind them for basic things. The food was delicious though, the crab rangoons were amazing! I also got the cherry blossom sushi rolls and they were delicious.“
“There's a lot of solid sushi options in Dallas, but IWA has quickly become my family's favorite. It's a small, atmospheric sushi bar and grill who's menu balances tradition and Texas fusion in such a way to do justice by both. If you're looking for a new place to try, IWA deserves a shot.“
“I got there right after they opened today, got myself a Poke Bowl (3 Protein), and a Shrimp Tempura roll. The rolls were definitely a bargain during their happy hour and tasted wonderful!I have been looking for a good Poke place, and these guys have my continued loyalty! Excellent food, very friendly service, reasonably prices, and DELICIOUS food.I will definitely be back.“
“At home omakase - highly recommend. I was blown away by 1) the professionalism of Chef Han - from his punctuality to washing his hands first before he went right to work. Hygiene is big for us. 2) the quality of the sushi - every bite bursted with flavor and each course tasted so fresh which I didn't expect at all. Also the way Chef Han paired the sushi with just the right amount of seasoning and toppings was truly chef's kiss. I would say the 18 course omakase was pretty on par with some of the top sushi restaurants we've had in Dallas, if not better than some. Better yet, it's hard to beat having restaurant quality omakase in the comforts of your own home. Can't wait for the next at home omakase experience! Mind blown!“
“We were in Dallas for 3 days and came here twice in a row. It was that good. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and the chefs were friendly and meticulous. Highlights included the seared pieces (salmon belly, black cod) and the truffle salmon. Felt like a portal to Japan. Wow.“
