“I made a reservation for my daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate her 21st birthday. I called and spoke to the manager and told him what the occasion was and asked if they could make it special for them The staff exceeded my expectations. They had some appetizers waiting for them when they arrived and brought out a birthday dessert. My daughter said it was a great experience and the food and service were excellent.“

“Truly one of the best restaurants in Dallas. I've had the pleasure of eating here multiple times now, and each time I've enjoyed a completely different menu with both traditional and unique bites. Impeccable service and the kindest chefs handing over each omakase dish prepared counter side right in front of you. Chef Park shows up with the rare mix of entertaining and humble, and gives the friendliest explanations that make each of his dishes approachable. Shoyo is a true Dallas gem.“

“Sushi by Scratch was an amazing omakase experience from start to finish. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and each course had its own unique flavor. The chefs were very skilled and made the experience feel personal and interactive.
The atmosphere was intimate and fun, and the service was excellent. Every dish felt carefully thought out, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. Definitely a great spot for a special occasion or anyone who loves high-quality sushi and wants to try something beyond a traditional sushi restaurant.
Overall, an unforgettable omakase experience. I’d definitely come back! 🍣“

“Hibiki exceeded all expectations! Our server, Shade, provided exceptional service—attentive, professional, and friendly throughout our entire visit. We ordered the Who’s Your Daddy and Holy Moly rolls, both of which delivered the perfect level of spice and flavor. The sushi was impressively fresh, beautifully presented, and truly a highlight of the evening. The restaurant’s ambiance was warm and inviting, with a distinctive New Orleans-inspired atmosphere in the heart of Deep Ellum. Every detail, from the quality of the food to the attentive service, made for an outstanding dining experience. Hibiki is highly recommended for anyone seeking elevated sushi, bold flavors, and impeccable hospitality.“

“This was a little like a food hall experience, with three different vendors open for ordering. We picked sushi and poke and enjoyed our meal inside towards the start of dinner time. We had sushi and poke. The spicy tuna on the poke was great. A little too much rice if you only ordered rice but it fit the bill. The Sushi they selected were both fried, and third was “normal.” All tasty and we finished it up.“

“Mizu Sushi is truly a hidden gem in Dallas! The restaurant is a cute, cozy spot with a great bar and an excellent drink selection. We especially loved the cocktails—they were delicious and perfectly crafted.
We ordered several hand rolls, including Snow Crab, Salmon, Bay Scallop, and Lobster, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy, and the beet-infused salmon roll topped with gold caviar was absolutely incredible—definitely one of our favorites!
We also enjoyed the Espresso Martini and the Passionfruit Mocktail, both of which were refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal.
A special thank you to Sona and the entire team for their warm hospitality and outstanding service. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Mizu Sushi to anyone looking for fresh sushi, great drinks, and exceptional service!“

“Charming neighborhood Asian restaurant, with Japanese, Singaporean and fusion options. Upbeat and helpful servers. Food is fresh and delicious and visual appeal of the presentations is excellent. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the service was too quick! I don't like it when a course arrives before we have completed the last one, and we are asked to finish up so the next plates can be put on the table. If management corrects this, theyt will be worth a 5 star rating!“

“Hubby and I went to their Valentines Brunch Saturday and Calin was our waiter. His first question to us was did we have any allergies. We was honestly blown away because NO OTHER waiter asked us that question ANYWHERE! Yes I do have food allergies and I told him so. From beginning to the end of our visit he was PHENOMENAL!! We told his Manager so. There is so much negativity going on, we were very pleased to give some positivity! ?“

“Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]
Our sushi chef was Jayden and he was so nice. He checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything tasted good, offered to cut our hand rolls in half so we could share, and even gave us a salmon belly on the house.
Black Cod Nigiri ($6): Best bite of the night and it was on the seasonal menu. It was cooked and I'm not sure what they did to it, but it was absolutely phenomenal.
Salmon Truffle Ponzu ($18): My second favorite dish of the night. The salmon was super fresh and the truffle ponzu elevated the whole thing.
Scallop Foie Gras ($24): Beautiful presentation and good but surprisingly not as flavorful as the salmon truffle ponzu. I was expecting more umami from the foie gras.
Salmon Belly Toro Nigiri ($16): Salmon belly with fatty toro topped with ikura. Delicious and melts in your mouth.
Toro Wagyu Uni Nigiri ($22): Fatty tuna, A5 wagyu beef, and uni nigiri. My husband thought it was fun to eat, but said he would not order it again.
Nodoguro Nigiri ($13): I looked this up, and it's apparently a rare high end deep sea fish from Japan known as the toro of white fish. Based purely on taste though, I thought it was okay and did not compare to the salmon belly.
Kanpachi Cherry Blossom ($6.50): A pretty rosy pink color with a subtle cherry blossom flavor. Okay in terms of taste compared to the other fishes we had.
Ami Ebi Nigiri ($10): The sweet shrimp was a bit too raw for me.
Crab Uni Butter Nigiri ($12): I did not really taste the difference between the uni infused butter and regular butter so I am not sure it is worth the price, though it was still good.
Snow Crab Handroll ($7): So much better than imitation crab. Recommend out of all the handrolls we tried.
Eel Handroll ($7.50): Not my favorite but my husband said it was one of the best eel he has ever had.
Lobster Handroll ($12): Good but nothing special.
Volcano Roll ($28): This took the longest to make and was the last item we received even though we saw them start preparing it at the beginning of the meal. The presentation was beautiful and Jayden even sprayed gold on it for our photo and video. It comes with snow crab, avocado, lobster, and bay scallop topped with eel sauce and was really yummy with lots of seafood. The only downside was that the roll underneath broke apart easily which made it hard to eat.
Fresh Wasabi Root ($10): We watched them grind the wasabi fresh which was cool to see. It doesn't have a kick to it though so I wouldn't order it again since I like a tiny bit of spiciness.
Matcha Mojito ($15): Not for me. It had a bit too much club soda.
Yuzu Saketini ($15): I liked this one more than the matcha mojito. The yuzu flavor was prominent and it kind of reminded me of a Lemon Drop.“

“First time here. Ordered takeout due to pandemic. Came on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Ordered 4 rolls: rainbow roll, dragon roll, Greenville roll, & spicy tuna kiss roll. Presentation is nice. Fish quality is smooth, creamy, and does not have a frozen multiple times texture. Flavor is nice. Roll pieces are actually bite sized and -just- fit in your mouth. (I have a small mouth, so they may fit better in an average person’s mouth). Kind of disappointed with the minuscule amount of wasabi & ginger that came with each dish, but wasabi taste fresh & has adequate spice. Pickled ginger is quite sweet. Overall, everything was good. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

The food was so good, its hard to find good sushi spots and I'm definitely coming back again. I highly recommend the egg rolls and the appetizer with the rice and sushi that's about $10 during happy hour, amazing. California rolls also are so good!
Definitely will be coming again, c:“

“We had an amazing experience at Yujo. Tony went out of his way to make my birthday special from complimentary appetizers to desserts. The fish was so fresh and sushi rice was on point and better than any Japanese restaurant I’ve frequented in Dallas. They spent 4 hours just making their sushi rice. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!“
