“We love Kaizen, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Rowlett! Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly and attentive wait staff. The orange chicken and white rice is my favorite, a classic and delicious choice. My husband loves their sushi rolls. Good discounts on drinks during happy hour. Great place to take the whole family for a fairly priced, decent meal with options for everyone that will fill you up.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“This restaurant surpassed my expectations. From the warm welcome to the last piece of sushi, everything was impeccable. The variety of rolls offered catered to all testes, the attention to detail in preparation was evident. A must-visit for sushi enthusiast!“
“The service and atmosphere were excellent! Although I enjoyed most of their food, the fatty tuna and salmon were *way* too fishy and fatty for me. I usually enjoy the fatty parts, but after chewing it more and more, I disliked it a lot. I couldn't eat the rest because it was too much. However, their fried eel and seared salmon were very good! They have amazing rice!! I wish I had ordered just a bowl of rice because it was so good.“
“First time to visit the place. We started with Bluefin calamari. I had Ahi Tower, my son got the Bulgogi bowl and husband was excalibur. Very nice presentation. Everything good. Service was really fast and the place and atmosphere was pleasant. Friendly people too. Definitely my new favorite restaurant coz I love Japanese food. Price is reasonable too. Highly recommend. You’ll be impressed.“
“My go to sushi place! I love the Yummy Roll and the Sweetheart Roll. They also have my absolute favorite miso soup around. We've tried most of the rolls and they're always delicious. The beef pad thai is also really good. It's a small, cozy and romantic spot. Usually easy to get a table and always ready for pick up orders when you want!“
“My son and I love to get sushi together. Just this past weekend, we stumbled across a hidden gem in Murphy, TX. As we walked into Kenzo, the atmosphere immediately took me back to some small neighborhood eateries in the Chicagoland area i used to frequent. it was dim and Clean and art hung from the walls. from bamboo paintings to ceramic wall hangings. The deep red was inviting and they were quick to seat us. As we looked around there were also knic knacks and gifts from what we could only assume were from grateful local patrons. We saw a sign that was made from a local 17 year old patron of wood and plastic which my son and i agreed must have been cut precisely on a C&C machine and layered together. As an anime fan it was awesome to see the coloring pages of multiple young artists favorite characters... There was Nezuko and Beerus and Goku and well....you get it. On to the food!We went simple with some pork gyoza for an appetizer. For our main lunch we chose Spicy tempura Rolls, Spicy Salmon Rolls and my son definitely need his spicy california roll! The Gyoza was so Crisp and the pork was cooked perfectly. The dipping sauce had a sweet broth flavor. We were pleasantly surprised and i would highly recommend. Unless you need something lighter. The Rolls came out in a family style on one plate and my son and I loved that. From the tight rolls, crispy shrimp and all the way to the tangy eel sauce and spicy mayo... these rolls were on point! They hit the spot as we were completing our meal, our server went to a hidden fridge and surprised both of us with a vanilla icecream bar covered with a chocolate shell. We were a bit thrown off, however it was an awesome pallette cleanser and a great way to wrap a giant red bow on this experience. Hats off Kenzo...Great Apps!, Great Rolls! Great staff and dessert was amazing!! You have made new customer(s) of me and my family! I highly recommend this budget friendly treasure hidden in a strip mall. GO SEE THEM!!!“
“The absolute best Hibachi we have found in Dallas!! Everything taste amazing from the soup, salad, friend rice, chicken, shrimp, and steak. Our cook Marcus was awesome, he was very friendly and the food was amazing! They have the best yum yum sauce too which is usually make or break for me! The service was great and the place is cleaned very well. I appreciate they have a lunch menu on Saturday and Sunday, so a great price for a lot of food! Highly recommend for people to check them out because you won’t be disappointed!“
“Amazing just amazing. Complained that table was sticky and she came to clean it.I think the chopsticks are super glued but that’s ok. Sushi fantastic, ramen astonishing. I will come back again. Much much much love. If you don’t like it your taste is abysmal ?(this picture is bbq ? squid?)“
“The guys there are the most amazing ones. They might be busy, and I mean BUSY, yet they smile, crack a joke and make you feel welcome and appreciated. Best Ahi Tower, best edamame, always fresh and they also accommodate. I order towers for the family and one is always with the spicy on the side, they never ever ask or hesitate to change. Little hidden gem. I love this place and loved it for many years now.“
“Take out order from Yelp.Once a while I missed their sushi roll. It is just right for lunch. They are tasty with crunchy! Service wise, I would like to see more friendly smile and greeting from the staff because it would help me come back more often.“
“SO. DELICIOUS. I ordered their chicken katsu bento box, and every single item is so fresh. The chicken is super juicy, the sushi, salad, and fried tempura were on point. I also really appreciate how they took the time to package everything so neatly. For example, I ordered a sprite, and they put the bottle of sprite and a cup of ice in a separate bag. Definitely ordering from Kansha again!“
“First time I come here and I loved the atmosphere and the food, the waitress who served us was super friendly to us, the food is of good quality and very delicious, my only but is that it is a little expensive, as if they went too far there with the prices but everything else is very good“
“We went in expecting a fast casual dining experience but ended up with more of a fast food experience. The sushi tasted good, but I had to run my credit card for each individual transaction. For instance, we arrived and purchased drinks (bottle drinks only), 1 transaction. We then decided to get edomame, another transaction. We ordered our sushi, another transaction. My daughter wanted another bottle of soda, another transaction, etc. Etc. The staff was friendly and the food was good, but it just wasn't what we expected.“
“Server was very clearly new, or very inexperienced. No plates, no silverware, pretty bad service overall, had to ask or constantly remind them for basic things. The food was delicious though, the crab rangoons were amazing! I also got the cherry blossom sushi rolls and they were delicious.“
“Place has great food. Service in person is amazing but online delivery pick up took a while for me. I arrived after getting a text that the food was ready. It wasn't. Took like 30 minutes to get my food. Arrived home and the food had a missing order. Called and they help me out w the refund. Amazing place just had 1 bad experience only.“
“Sushi lunch for one. I had miso, crab roll and plain sushi rice. I enjoyed it very much. Food came quickly, the service was very personable, polite and helpful. I plan on taking the wife here for date night soon. She is the greater sushi connoisseur than I. Not fancy but clean with friendly staff. I was able to be seated right away.“
“Came here with my coworker for lunch and despite sitting down for the hibachi experience it was fairly quick which is good for a business lunch! The customer service from the waitress was spot on and efficient.I ordered the hibachi scallops and chicken which came with miso soup, house salad (ginger dressing), and fried rice (an upcharge). The meal was delicious and cooked nicely. The Chef made the meal fun although it was only 4 of us. I also ordered the spicy tuna rolls and enjoyed them.If in the area, I would definitely return to try out the other hibachi meats and sushi!“
“Nice to have a good quality Asian restaurant in Heath. Food is very good, as is the service, the atmosphere is a little sterile but the first two cover nicely. Did not have sushi this visit but have had it there before and was very good. Not too pricey.“
“The price of the sushi here was on the cheaper side compared to other sushi restaurants. The quality of the sushi though... I personally think it can get better. Even the presentation of the sushi was quiet lacking. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was pretty satisfactory. Since the location is in the heart of downtown Plano, I think it's a good spot for a nice dinner.“
“We ordered delivery (UberEats) the shrimp tempura bento with spring rolls and added mushroom. The only issue we had was how soggy/oily the shrimp tempura. The rest of the order was pretty decent. The stir fried veggies with the added mushroom and the spring rolls were pretty good. We'll likely order again but will stay away from the shrimp tempura.“
“It is pricier than I remember, but for some damn good lad na, well worth it. Hadn't eaten all day so I was happy they took my last minute order. It was hot and steaming when I got it to go, well-packed, and delicious. Very good service. Will come back next time I'm in Rockwall.“
“Umi is quality! My boys and I love ordering and eating here. Though not sushi, the ramen and shrimp tempura appetizer is a must every time.If you opt for the basic California and Philly rolls they are great for newbies. Some of my favorites are the Jessica Albacore Tina sashimi, surf clam, yellow tail, anything salmon, Roll over roll, special crunch, and Las Vegas roll. You will not be disappointed with anything you order there. It's top notch and I'm happy they here in Garland.“
“Dinner takeout was superb tonight. Lion King, Shrimp crunch, and Spicy T rolls all came home still crunchy and decent temp. The portions were fair. Didn’t feel like wallet got reamed. There was a slight hint of smokiness that added greatly to the flavor. They were quick too, about ten minutes for three rolls.Kid-friendliness: Staff spoke with my three year old, who kept asking for fresh lemonade. Friendly place. Highly recommend.“
“To all the people complaining, this place is perfect, and I feel many of you guys are being picky; at 1 am, what will you get? What-a-burger Waffle House? This place has a lot of options for a late-night spot: rice, noodles, sushi, curry soup, etc. You’re not going to find that anywhere else, on a late night, the best spot to go when you're off work late or leaving the bar or a party at 1 am. Basil fried rice is my favorite. I order here at least once a week.“
“Great family dining with plenty of options. Had a fun experience with great appetizers (edamame and sushi tower), teriyaki chicken and a sushi main course. They were so friendly with our two small kids and even made a fun orange animal for them.“
“We went on Friday 1/12/24. It was very busy which we expected. Waitress was nice and attentive. My only complaint was that my Fried egg, chicken and rice bowl was ok. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and somewhat hard. It was not tender at all. Maybe they had a new cook was it was a little disappointing. Next time, I’m trying the Ramen. Maybe it will be a better.“
“I would recommend this place over any sushi in Rockwall. I’ve tried several and was disappointed, however this place is absolutely amazing. Sushi is always fresh and we only go to see the server Helen because her service is exceptional! 10/10!“
“Excellent Place For Lunch. I'll definitely be back.Lunch specials are very well priced. Portions are strictly well proportioned. Smaller than most Asian restaurants. But most Asian restaurants give more than than the average American should eat.Price is well equivalent to the flavor. A worth exchange. The Ambiance is meh. Nothing to write home about. Basic. Not memorable.Overall, I'd gladly come back for lunch.EDIT: I've found myself coming back several times. I feel they've either redeemed themselves or my initial read was off. I'm very pleased with this place. 5 stars.“
“Ate there last night with my daughter and her two best friends. Never been there before, but have driven by it several times over the years. Ordered the gyoza dumplings and edemame, which was delicious. I ordered the grilled shrimp, salmon, and scallops platter with fried rice (extra cost but i didn't mind) and miso soup. Delicious! The server we had was awesome, even though he'd been working there for a few days. The others had the ramen or noodle dishes and they enjoyed all of it. Maybe slightly overpriced for certain items, but depends on what you order. I had more tgan enough on my plate and the others with me said the same. I think we'll be visiting again in the near future! ?“
“We love this place! It is the best hibachi I've had in Texas so far. Portions are huge, prices are competitive, staff is great, and it's also fun! I highly recommend eating here! Try the lunch special hibachi!Parking: Small lot, but I've never had an issue.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly!“
“I have visited several times. Great variety. Very disappointed by the Lo Mein this visit. Hope it's just a one time thing! Service is always delightful. Love their variety of fresh fruit offered. Great Hot and sour soup, noodles need work. Overall a very pleasant experience. Will return again when in that area. Good buffet if you like buffets. Enjoy“
“We went yesterday to finally celebrate our Valentine's Day. We were treated really well. The food was delicious. Everything was great. The manager even came by and asked about our drinks and she had them remake my drink because it was way too strong. The reason why is because she asked how it was and I said a bit strong and then it was perfect. The desert was so delicious. We ordered the tempura ice cream.“
