Based on the reviews, Gokumi Sushi is very friendly and accommodating, with excellent food that comes out quickly. The sushi is always fresh and the service is always great. The staff is fast and makes things right if there is a mix up. For first-timers, the Caribbean roll and Volcano roll are delicious. The portion sizes are impressive, and the wonton soup is a standout. However, the cucumber salad dressing is so light you can barely taste anything, and the shrimp tempura in the roll can seem old, chewy, and stale. The atmosphere can be loud due to non-ethnic music, but the staff will turn it down. It’s not as big as Blue Fin but neither are the prices. The dining area is small but perfect for take out, which is typically ready within 10-15 minutes. This place is a hidden gem with amazing food and fantastic service.
