Located in Bishop Arts, Otaru Sushi & Handroll Bar is a popular spot where the food quality is exceptional. The fish is always fresh, and the rolls are delicious. Regulars love the 5 hand rolls, and the birthday roll is a standout. The cucumber salad is light and refreshing. The food, drinks, and service are consistently amazing. The interior is incredible and the atmosphere is unmatched, making guests feel transported. The staff is super friendly and sweet. While it is about $7–8 more expensive than typical sushi buffets, the quality far exceeds the price difference. Prices are reasonable; dinner for two is a little under $140. It is a very popular spot, so making a reservation is highly recommended, as many people without reservations wait outside. This is a perfect tucked away gem in the Bishop Arts area.
