“We walked in to pick up a to go order and were warmly greeted. The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. We ordered garlic naan, Gobi 65, Malabar with beef and veggies, chicken and lamb biryani.“

“The food, as expected, was exceptional. The highlight, however, was the outstanding service we received from our server, Forrest. He saw to our every need without being overbearing. For a person who wears hearing aids, the restaurant was very loud. There are a lot of hard surfaces which I'm sure contributes to this problem.“

“What an impeccable experience. Service is exactly what you want, and the food was delicious. Oyster nachos were very tasty. I absolutely loved the key lime pie.

The GM gave the history of this location. A few years back, there was a terrible tornado that ripped through the location, but the history of rebuilding the location and the symbolic life jackets on the wall of the 12 survivors who were in the location when the tornado hit.

Honestly, this is what gives a place true character, and I'm sure this place will live on to tell more phenomenal stories. Cheers to these amazing people running this place. A true testament to honest and great hospitality.“

“My wife and I made reservations for brunch and really enjoyed our experience. Our server, Danny, was very personable, and did a great job throughout the meal. We started with the lobster bisque and the steak tartare, and both were excellent. For our entrées, I had the French dip, and my wife ordered the steak salad. She really enjoyed it, and after trying a few bites, I can definitely recommend it as well. For dessert, I had the restaurant's famous coconut cream pie, which I thought was very good. My wife enjoyed it even more than I did. She also ordered the crème brûlée, and it was delicious . One of our first dates nearly 20 years ago in Brooklyn included a memorable crème brûlée, so she almost always orders it when it's on the menu. Most don't quite measure up, but I think this one surpassed it. We both agreed it was one of the best we've had. Overall, it was a great brunch with excellent food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back, and we're looking forward to trying dinner next time.“

Today I had two encounters with Jarad and the Manager Desmond who made sure me and my family was well taken care of. Today was very busy when I came in but was greeted right away, there was a small wait time but once I was seated everything came out right away. The food was fresh and Hot. “We had not been to Half Shells in a while and man, have we missed out. Under new ownership, the interior has been upgraded and the food, was simply amazing. First, my buddy ordered a martini and it was exceptional. Big cold glass expertly executed. We had the fried calamari that came with two sauces - an aioli and a sweet and sour sauce, which was really nice.

We also had smoked salmon on toast which was heavenly and then I had a special - Copper River Salmon glazed with mango chutney over sticky rice and green beans. It was amazing! It's always been a great neighborhood restaurant but now it's truly a foodie gem!“

We shared delicious crawfish platter which came with etouffee, Cajun rice and very generous portion of fried crawfish.
Even though it was quick stop at the airport bar our bartender Arnaldo made us feel very welcome.

“I am indeed a foodie and very picky about restaurants in the DFW area. However, Chef Gorji met my high standards with foods that were amazingly prepared. You can't go wrong with whatever you order but the Sea Bass and Vegetarian Lasagna had me wanting more. The grill vegetables were so well prepared I was left shocked by the seasoning he used. He is also a very humble and kind man and that is an extra bonus. If you want good food in Dallas look no further go to Gorji Restaurant and enjoy good food. Dr. Lisa“

We started with The spinach artichoke dip. amazing, the chips (I believe their famous Italian nacho chips and homemade Garlic bread slices came together like a flavor family. My wife ordered the Primavera with chicken and the cream Parmesan sauce. out worldly, amazing. I would eat that sauce on everything. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Penne. A wonderful fusion of Sharp sundried tomatoes, sauteed Garlic cloves sauce and chicken. the spice was excellent as well, not overpowering like the star of the show, but rather a supporting actor that let you know they were there. The portions were very generous. don't expect to finish your entire dish, we went hungry and left with 1/3 of each of our entrees. I would recommend this place to anyone in Dallas, or going to Dallas..I would even recommend to the owners to venture down to Houston, as we could use this in our city. You would be missing out if you didn't come through this place at least once.“
