“My husband wanted a sushi feast for his birthday so we went with the specialty platter and let me tell ya it was amazing. The sushi tower ended up being both our favorite. Honorable mention goes to the salmon floret which was a perfect cut of fish. Every roll was prepared with a vision in mind and taste did not disappoint either. Egg rolls were crisp and flavorful and the generous side of Wasabi gave a pleasant extra kick.

We did get carryout and ordered like the dinosaurs over the phone and as you can see sushi survived the ride home.

All in all can’t wait to order again.“

“Our family of four stopped in for dinner last night to try out our new neighborhood spot and it was so good! The inside is nicely decorated and they have tables and floor tables for dining. The kids got a big kick out of sitting on floor pillows for dinner. The menu is extensive with Korean and Japanese items — including hibachi and sushi! Everything is reasonably priced and is meant to be a fast casual dine-in or takeout spot. So Carrollton folks — if you find yourself going to Sushi Kadan or another neighborhood joint — try this one out too! We have another spot for a tasty and healthy dinner. Kid friendly too! Support local!“

Had fried squid for an appetizer. Some of the better fried squid I’ve had in a while. I’d say it was better than Mr Max.

Had the sushi and ramen for my lunch entree. Sushi had a nice presentation and tasted great. Nigiri was on the small side (both rice and fish). The ramen portion, on the other hand, was pretty big. The slices of pork had a deep, smoky, rich flavor. The half egg on top was hard boiled not soft boiled. Something was a bit off with the noodle texture, perhaps a little overcooked?“

“The best sushi I’ve ever had! So many delicious choices on variety of foods. We ordered 4 rolls and each one was so fresh and tasty. Each roll was perfectly balanced in taste. My favorite roll was “riceless”Flower roll plate was decorated so creative! I ordered two of them! They simply melt in your mouth. We also ordered the salmon Belly over rice hand rolls. So buttery and rich! The wonton soups also delicious. The waitress Hena was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items and specials on the board. The General manager Audi, spoke to us at the end of the meal to see how everything went. He’s also very attentive and very customer service oriented. There were many sushi chefs there working, food was served quickly even though busy. I drink lots of water and it was constantly being filled without even asking.

The cozy atmosphere was perfect, I recommend it for sushi lovers who prefer more fried rolls. “Highly recommend Sushi Damu in Flower Mound if you are looking for good quality AYCE sushi. Their raw stuffs are so fresh specially squid. I’ve tried squid sushi from many places, but squid here is better as it’s fresh, tasty, and not dry. Sushi rice has good quality too. It’s well-cooked, soft, not dry like other AYCE sushi. Plus rice portion is small. Their sushi rolls are tasty. I would recommend house salad, Ikura, scallop and seared salmon sushi as well as low-carb and spider roll.“

The servers are helpful, and the owner, Kimmy, is always there and she knows how to take care of her customers. “I’ve had Blue Fish before but today I ordered on UberEats for lunch. I got the Blue Fish Tower and some eel sashimi. The blue fish tower initially I was confused by the packaging -I think I even said “wow really?” At first. It took me a couple seconds to figure it out then I thought it was the most clever to go packaging I’ve ever seen for a tower and I’m definitely tower savvy. They also serve it with the most delicious wasabi drizzle on the side I would literally put it on everything! Love this place!!“

They did inform us we were not going to be seated together but it being last minute we were okay with it. They sat us in booths next to each other. Two different waitresses. Our waitress right away told us we could not be moving around from table to table. She was not able to handle such a big table. Very unprofessional disregarding we were paying customers. Not sure if we would visit again with that kind of treatment. FYI, we still tipped more than what was expected.“

There’s bench seating and also some long booth seats along the wall; unfortunately, none of them are cushioned. They offer many drinks options from teas to smoothies to lemonades. We had a variety of drinks within our group and enjoyed them all. Multiple people ordered the #1 and really enjoyed the flavors and options to have rice & salad or only salad. I built my own bowl and it was delicious as well. Each of us received a miso soup with our order, which everyone really enjoyed. Fish tasted very fresh. And the workers (maybe owners?) were very friendly and welcoming.

“I am absolutely impressed.
I ordered the spicy ramen soup $8- so good and mildly spicy.
I also ordered 3 yellowtail nigiri $10 very fresh tasting and even more impressive that I watched the chef prepare my Nigiri.
I also order the salmon hand roll $5, it wasn’t my favorite, the salmon was fresh however I’m not a fan of cucumbers in my sushi.
I also ordered the squid karage $8 it was delicious I think it was my favorite of everything I ordered.
The infamous broccoli was also a hit.
I ate alone and spent about $40

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I absolutely love it and will be back!!!!“

California rolls were satisfying and hit the spot.

Gyoza had fresh fried flavor & the texture of the dumpling was perfect. Satisfying.

Egg roll was good.

Service was great.

On previous experiences their sushi was also freshly made and really good. Wished I ordered it this time.

Only minor complaint is that their Wasabi is a bit weak. I prefer stronger Wasabi that burns ?

Other than that, this is one of my top places to go when I decide to eat out.“
