“this is mine and my husbands favorite sushi place! no sushi place in the area compares to sushi sho. every-time we try somewhere new we’re always disappointed because nothing can top their fresh sushi. they have the best miso soup, Philadelphia rolls, and salmon sashimi. every thing in the menu is very reasonably priced. we order here 1-2xs weekly it’s all i crave.“

“Musume at The Star is an awesome spot. The vibe is stylish but still comfortable, so it works just as well for a casual night out as it does for a special dinner. The sushi is super fresh, the hot dishes are packed with flavor, and the cocktails are on point.

The staff is friendly and really makes you feel taken care of without hovering. Everything from the food to the atmosphere just clicks. Definitely one of my go-to places in Frisco.“

“Our family of four stopped in for dinner last night to try out our new neighborhood spot and it was so good! The inside is nicely decorated and they have tables and floor tables for dining. The kids got a big kick out of sitting on floor pillows for dinner. The menu is extensive with Korean and Japanese items — including hibachi and sushi! Everything is reasonably priced and is meant to be a fast casual dine-in or takeout spot. So Carrollton folks — if you find yourself going to Sushi Kadan or another neighborhood joint — try this one out too! We have another spot for a tasty and healthy dinner. Kid friendly too! “Top favorites were the mentaiko creamy udon and the yakitori. HM was the grilled salmon kama. They give lots of seafood and toppings for the udon, and the udon was the perfect texture and chewiness. Yakitoris were tender and juicy. Got the negima and momo yakitoris. Earl grey highball was slightly too sweet, but could probably request for less sweet next time.

…only downside was the AC blowing on us and the food making the food cool down too fast while eating. felt rushed eating because the food was getting cold. wouldn’t recommend sitting in the back table near the restrooms…

Even though we visited on a busy Friday night, our server Zico was fantastic—attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The staff was warm and accommodating, making us feel welcome. We enjoyed the ishiyaki and sashimi tasting, and the freshness of the fish was remarkable. The wagyu was also an exceptional treat, well worth the price. “We do hibachi every year for Christmas Day. This was our first time here. We will definitely be back!!! The food, quantity, staff and especially our Chef Matt aka Sugar, was A+++. We had a group of 8. Our chef was very entertaining and fun to talk with. “Our server, Tommy, was exceptional! He was warm, attentive, and his attention to detail made my birthday dinner (and first time dining at Uchiko) so special.

We were unfortunately running late to our reservation but the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. The Uchiko team and kitchen also did an excellent job accommodating our friend's allergy and offered many vegan/vegetarian alternatives and modifications to dishes.

The shrimp karaage, lychee martini, and brussels sprouts were excellent.

Overall, Uchiko is a great choice for a birthday dinner, celebration, date night, or just really good food and service.“

“Wow! The bowls were great. Everything was fresh and a good amount of food. They have plenty of choices for your bowls and just as many choices in sushi rolls. They are very reasonably priced. If you go during their happy hour 2-5 then you can get some killer inexpensive rolls. We tried their Salmon Skin roll. It was really good. We will definitely be back. If you like sushi and want to try something a little different go and give them a shot.“

Lost chef? IDK. What a pleasant surprise. Our first visit was such a joy. Hanakin has created a wonderful destination. Pleasant and attentive staff greets you to a beautiful new Japanese restaurant. Yes, with great sounding jazz playing in the background. So cool! Everything we ordered was shared ( including the seafood Ramen) so we could try several items on the menu. Everything was so so good. Quite possibly the best Japanese cuisine we ever experienced. Not kidding. For our last ordered item we requested chef to just make us something memorable and oh my heavens did he ever. The Futomaki roll he sent was the best sushi roll we ever ate. (See pic) All agreed. We can't wait to come back.
