As a vegan, Musume has a number of natively vegan options, and other dishes that can be made vegan with slight modifications. The restaurant has a nice, upscale atmosphere without feeling stuffy. Our server, Andy was the star of the show, however. He was super-friendly and very knowledgeable about which menu items we could order as vegans. If you should happen to make a stop at Musume, make sure to ask for Andy.
Total 10/10 experience! The vibes were completely there. We had a minor hiccup when we first sat down, but June and the Manager went above and beyond to fix it and surprise us. Massive shoutout to June for being so professional but also just a real, down-to-earth guy who is super easy to talk to. Appreciate you, June!

Based on the reviews, Musume at The Star is a Japanese Steakhouse with a nice, upscale atmosphere that does not feel stuffy. The restaurant has a positive vibe and polished staff. The menu is varied and caters to almost any palate, with a curated roster of sushi, mains, and unrivaled apps and sides. For vegan guests, there are a number of natively vegan options and other dishes that can be made vegan with slight modifications. Standout veggie dishes include the miso eggplant, glazed shishito peppers, togarashi French fries with sambal ketchup, corn ribs, crispy ponzu Brussels, broccolini served with garlic ponzu and chili crisp, the Superfly sushi roll, and crispy tofu. The coconut and mango sorbet is a lovely dessert. The service is exceptional, with staff who are knowledgeable and accommodating. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere makes this one of the best dining experiences in Frisco.
