Musume at The Star is an awesome spot. The vibe is stylish but still comfortable, so it works just as well for a casual night out as it does for a special dinner. The sushi is super fresh, the hot dishes are packed with flavor, and the cocktails are on point.
The staff is friendly and really makes you feel taken care of without hovering. Everything from the food to the atmosphere just clicks. Definitely one of my go-to places in Frisco.

My daughter and I came here tonight for the first time to celebrate my birthday and I must say- everything was PERFECT. Between the food, service, and ambience, we had an incredible time. Our server, Andy, really took great care of us and really cared for our table and expertly curated the experience for us. We’ve tried many Asian restaurants in the area but this might be our favorite and we will be back because of him.
Andy is the bomb! We're first time visitors and we'll 100% be back because of how special he made us feel. On top of that, the food is INCREDIBLE. Some of the best sushi in the area.

Based on the reviews, Musume at The Star is a Japanese Steakhouse with a nice, upscale atmosphere that does not feel stuffy. The restaurant has a positive vibe and polished staff. The menu is varied and caters to almost any palate, with a curated roster of sushi, mains, and unrivaled apps and sides. For vegan guests, there are a number of natively vegan options and other dishes that can be made vegan with slight modifications. Standout veggie dishes include the miso eggplant, glazed shishito peppers, togarashi French fries with sambal ketchup, corn ribs, crispy ponzu Brussels, broccolini served with garlic ponzu and chili crisp, the Superfly sushi roll, and crispy tofu. The coconut and mango sorbet is a lovely dessert. The service is exceptional, with staff who are knowledgeable and accommodating. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere makes this one of the best dining experiences in Frisco.
