“I reserved the upstairs level for a private birthday dinner for my husband. We had 16 guests and everyone commented on the cool and fun vibe of the restaurant. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. The manager, Michael, was very accommodating from initial booking to the night of our event. He made sure we had a wonderful experience. “This was my second trip here. We came the Sunday after Valentines. The atmosphere was great for a brunch day. There were several groups enjoying the vibes. The dj was great. The music wasn't too loud. We were able to have conversation and vibe. We enjoyed the flight of mimosas. My husband and I both got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was piping hot but the waffles were not. They give you syrup but it's not hot. Maybe if the give you hot syrup and butter it would elevate the experience just a bit. “We used Blue Mesa as our wedding caterer and it was one of the easiest decisions out of the whole planning experience. Karen was so friendly and accommodating during our tasting. The hardest part was narrowing down our options because it was all so delicious! We chose to do carving stations with the tenderloin and stuffed chicken. At the last minute I added the queso because it’s literally out of this world amazing. People RAVED about the food, said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. They even prepared plates for our vegetarian guests. For the service we got, I feel like the price was incredibly reasonable. They also helped with our cake cutting and did a good job. We had to ask for a couple specific pizzas to be brought to our table because they hadn't been offered while others were brought multiple times. 2. They don't inform you of their auto-gratuity policy when checking in for your reservation, nor upon giving you the bill. I would have expected better service when you're predetermining your own tip. 3. We also were asked to vacate our table for the next reservation while we were still actively spending money on after dinner drinks. These are all simple fixes on their end and I hope they can communicate better in the future.“
