“There's new management in town and it's things are looking up! I've been a long time customer with Shell Shack dating back to the McKinney Ave days. I've been to the Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth, Mesquite, & Plano locations over the years. Over time the quality has fallen off a great deal but yet the prices steadily increase. I've opted to not frequent as much because I don't want a bag of butter with little to no seasonings and flavor, or missing items, or mediocre service. This past Monday, my daughter was out of school and asked to go since we hadn't been in a while. We went. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I saw a gentleman, whom I later found out was the new manager Nigel, running out behind someone who appeared to may have left something. Once we parked and walked in to be seated, we were greeted and seated by Nigel. A few moments later, Nigel came back and took our drink order. When he brought our drinks, I asked if he was the only one working. He explained he was because unfortunately his bartender called in. Despite being the only person out front, his customer service and attentiveness was immaculate. He didn't miss a beat. On top of his service, the food! My goodness I fell in love all over again with Shell Shack! It wasn't a bag full of oil/ butter. I personally like my sauce/Seasoning thick, almost like a mud consistency. It was perfect! It was hot! It was fresh! It was amazing! If Monday's experience is a sign of Nigel's management, I love how things are looking, and I'm certain I'll start back coming around more often again!“

“We came here for the AFC championship game. It was not that busy which was nice but still a good crowd watching the game. Service was good, our waitress was prompt with getting us food and drinks. They have a huge 4 panel TV in there but the resolution on it was actually really bad so we ended watching the smaller TV's off to the side more than the big one. The food was fine. It was decent enough for bar food. We weren't coming here for a meal and we knew that. We were coming to drink a beer and watch a game and the food was just a bonus on the side. I certainly would not come back just to eat there but I think if you're going for a game with friends the food is good enough that it's not in your way. It seems to be kid friendly too as they have 3 or 4 arcade games. The patio was big and spacious, it was cold when we went but when it warms up that would be a great spot to watch a game.“

The decor and feel of the location was nice. We had one waitress for our group but she did a great job managing the separate tickets and getting us taken care of. The kitchen was a bit slow but that’s expected when we arrive as a group. The lodes queso was excellent and so were the burgers. Anything will grilled or blackened chicken however was gross. The owner has a dry sense of humor and can easily be taken the wrong way but since he recognizes us, he is solid. The other wait staff and wonderful as well. The burgers are great and the tacos are so stupid simple, they are really good. I read a bad review about them and had to laugh cause I love 'em. It's a great place to hang out and drink a couple of beers. There is always a game on and if you're there early enough the 80's tunes are playing and the TV's are muted. It's a mom and pop so they may not always be able to honor their hours, kitchen times or have all ingredients all the time but they do the best they can and are up front about what's not available.“

“What an incredible experience!!! I went to the bar at the very last minute, hoping to be allowed to bring in a small party for my birthday. I met with Joe and he accommodated every one of my requests without hesitation. He really is amazing! Katy showed me around and was also super sweet. The night of the event, all went over without one glitch! We had the best view in the house with the private area on the 2nd level. The band, Wildcard, was so good and partied with us the entire night. The lead singer actually sang Happy Birthday to me in front of the entire bar! Even the patrons were amazing.
