fun place for partying when staying at local hotels . Friendly staff.
We've been going to the City Tavern for 19 years. They moved from the old location on Main to the new location on Elm. It's now right across the street from us super convenient.
Great food great service and great people work there.

City Tavern, now located on Elm Street across from the Hilton hotel, is a sports bar with excellent atmosphere. Great food, great service, and great people work there. There is a great selection of beers on tap, including local brews. The price point for the quality is great, especially on deals. It is a great place to watch the football with loads of multiple screens, and guests can always sit in a booth. The staff is phenomenal, fast, and friendly. It is an outstanding bar and a must visit for anyone in Downtown Dallas. One guest had a sandwich for $12 plus a carafe of mimosas for $20, but was unclear on the bill. Otherwise, everything was great fun.
