“Ok, for someone who grew up (literally) in a Pub - this place isn't quite a pub. It's a dang fine bar and has good food. Texas is its own thing anyways, so you always have to factor that into your visit - but this place sits right on a row of other fabulous spots. This one had the best bar selection and vibe to be sure, so we stayed here the longest. And the staff is incredibly easy to look at . . . . but you didn't hear that from me. : )“

“Went here for the first time today. Will be back and will be asking to sit in section. Food was good, definitely get wings. Atmosphere was good as well. We were seated quickly and was amazing. She was attentive despite the chaos with the game. She also did something that has become a lost art in the food service lately, she checked on me after I received my meal. I've got to say that this will not be my last time dinning there. Sit in section folks, you won't regret it!“

“I love that The Ginger Man is incredibly dog friendly! Today, we celebrated this sweet boy for turning 5 by going out for lunch! The shady part of the patio was perfect and the breeze was fabulous! They brought Henry a big bowl of water and an unseasoned burger patty! We cut it up and fed him little bites throughout the meal. It was so wonderful!!!“

“We tried Thirsty Lion for the first time on the 3rd, right before we left for the Outlaw Music Festival. We had two margaritas and two power bowls and everything was DIVINE! “Came here for the first time on a Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. Mimosas - Standard mimosa. No strange aftertaste. Decent strength in alcohol content. Huevos Rancheros - Eggs were cooked perfectly - nice & runny yolk with whites cooked thoroughly. Tostadas were very crispy, but slightly overcooked & a touch burnt. Served with refried black beans spread over the tostadas, a generous, spread of salsa, and cotija cheese. Served with a side of rancheros sauce which tasted like salsa verde. Brunch potatoes - Lightly salted. Cooked nicely - crispy on the outside & soft, fluffy, & tender on the inside. Doesn’t get soggy despite sitting on top of salsa. Would have liked more seasoning, but still good. Brunch Burger - Like biscuits & gravy, but on a burger. Flavor is good - very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Habanero Margarita - actually uses a pretty good reposado tequila - Mi Compo. Very smooth & slightly spicy. Hot Mexican Chili Arbol Wings to go - Came with a hand sanitizing wipe. Medium crispy on the outside. Good flavor. Overall, we had a very nice experience. We sat at the bar, and our bartender, Kinsley, was very nice, personable, & very knowledgeable of menu despite only being here for a month. They also have a happy hour between 4-7 PM, so I’d like to try out their happy hour. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

“We just had the most wonderful experience at Hillside Tavern. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was chill enough that we were able to bring our 11-year-old niece to eat with us. The service was top notch. Chad and his team are doing an incredible job and we’ll be back very soon to try out the rest of that awesome menu!“

“Located in the back of the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater. Its a very nice spot to chill before or after a movie, watch TV, and play a little pinball. It's usually quiet, but can get busy after people come out of a movie. There's an excellent selection of drinks and food. I recommend the fried pickles. Marina and Chris are awesome! I love chatting with them. They'll also put anything on the TV for you.“

“This is the former Gomonae restaurant - it's a small family run Korean restaurant with delicious soups and banchans. Gomonae moved out of their smaller location in the same strip mall to this spot which is larger and has a liquor license. Same delicious food. Yukgejang is very nice. No more fried chicken though. Service is so friendly too. Loved the purple rice. They are open in the morning until maybe 7 or 8pm I believe - not quite sure about dinner hours so double check.“

“I was blown away by this place. They were on the more expensive side and also had to pay extra because they ahd a show going also. But it was beyond worth it. Not only was the meal amazing but the show was also fantastic. The waiter in charge of us was very patient considering the table had a few problems with food or drink (one person's meal was a bit too spicy for them but they offered to change out the dish for something less spicy and my drink was a bit too bitter) the food was amazing and although I can't remember the name of what I ordered to dish was flavorful and left me very satisfied. I ordered two drinks the first one was their cherry pineapple mule and I felt it was a well balanced drink, the second was a mojito that unfortunately I believe they over muddled the mint causing it to be pretty bitter but they did fix that for me. We ended up getting 2 dessert on menu and 2 of their birthday deserts. One was a pistachio cake that was good but was vastly over a shadowed by how amazing their sticky toffee was! That had the whole table raving. Our birthday brownies were good but after the sticky toffee I could hardly think to eat it. And as I said previously the service was amazing not only was our waiter a try great waiter the owner also made rounds around the restaurant checking in on customers. The drinks did get backed up a little at one point but but wasn't unexpected considering it was a full of house. One person at our table got one of their beers, though I couldnt tell you which one, and said it was the best beet she had in a while. All in all I plan on coming again at some point and could not give enough praise.“

“e been coming to Saintsbury for a while and always enjoyed the atmosphere, but I really have to say—getting rid of karaoke on Monday nights was a big miss. It was one of the few things that consistently brought in a great crowd and gave regulars something fun to look forward to at the start of the week.

You could tell it was doing well, and a lot of us who came regularly have been pretty disappointed since it was taken away. It added energy to the place and made Mondays feel alive instead of slow.

It would be really nice to see karaoke brought back. I think it would mean a lot to the regulars and help bring that same vibe back again.“

“My husband was here for an armwrestling event and when the transactions didn’t match up with what he authorized I gave them a call. The manager and woman who looked into this were great but the waitress that added her own gratuity to a less than 30$ single person check should be ashamed of herself. Unfortunately I’ve come to hear this from others about people tipping themselves so just a fair warning to check your bill before paying for anything.“

I was in the Harry Hines area and took a quick glance of Sports City and noticed it was empty (12 pm ona Friday) and say JACKPOT! Establishment had me and another customer. Bartender seem to knew the customer but some attention was given towards me I ask for the fish and chips and a beer. Beer came right-o-way and fish chips took a minute, i glance around and gave me similar vibes to another mexican sports bar. When food came it was HOT! temperatures wise, and fish and ships where pretty genetic, tartar sauce and fries with ketchup.“
