I have been periodically going to Benihana at the Dallas location on Banner Rd. since the early 1980 's when it first opened, and until yesterday it has always been my favorite Japanese restaurant. It has really gone downhill since they were bought out by a mega-corp holding company called One Group Hospitality Inc. in 2024. I have to give it 1 star across the board because i was unable to eat here. I called to try to make a reservation for 18 people to eat for a party; i was told they dont take reservations at dinner time…?
Isnt that what reservations are for? Large parties at dinner time?
I thought someone was wrong so i asked her to confirm and she came back on and said they would do it for $250 thats non refundable and doesn’t go towards the cost of my bill? I was shocked. I guess...read full review
