We went for the first time on March 19 for the early seating. The restaurant is beautiful and tranquil. The service was superb. The food was expertly prepared, elegantly presented, and delicious. We have recently dined at four other omikase establishments in Dallas and Austin, and Mabo more than holds it own. This is a wonderful addition to an already amazing Japanese food scene in Dallas.
We have been a loyal fan at Teppo and It was so good to see Chef Masa and the crew at their best! The modern, zen ambiance, the artful plating of the food, the sophistication of the taste and delicious robata and sashimi! Cherry on top, Chef Masa's house brings back his trademarked fully automated classy latrines!

This place is truly unbelievable! I went around the opening and looking back now, I’m shocked there are only 3 reviews still. This place is aesthetically so meticulous and clean and offers a beautiful experience rooted in Japanese design, and the food is just out of this world amazing!
